Audiobook Reviewers

I've had a lot of success getting reviewers for my latest book -- with 63 4 and 5-star review on amazon, I'm feeling very good about about the written version of Cassie Scot: ParaNormal Detective. The audiobook version came out two weeks ago, and I'm finding that my knowledge of how to find reviews for a print version is not translating into audio. Any suggestions?  (I do have a few audible coupon codes to hand out.)Here are the book details:Cassie Scot is the ungifted daughter of powerful…See More

Here's some book info:Cassie Scot is the ungifted daughter of powerful sorcerers, born between worlds but belonging to neither. At 21, all she wants is to find a place for herself, but earning a living as a private investigator…See More

I can't imagine being a book blogger without owning an e-reader these days. With such a cheap medium to provide advanced review copies, ebooks are a the promotion tool of choice for many publishers and authors. Both here and on Net Galley, where I get most of my ARCs, it's in electronic format. From the flipside: As an author, I try to have a few print books available for reviewers who still insist upon that format, but I'll give you the straight numbers -- each book costs me $10 + shipping. Characters Welcome

Since I know there are a lot of authors who frequent this site, I wanted to tell you about an on-line workshop I'm hosting starting next week at Savvy Authors. It's a character-building workshop with a new twist -- you come in character. You'll have the opportunity to post as if you are your character, while others ask you questions that should help you add depth and breadth. There's even a live chat option. I'm hoping this workshop will be of benefit to beginning, intermediate, or advanced…See More

What is YA?

First, let me ask: Have you heard of a classification called new adult? It's a sort of crossover classification between YA and adult in which the characters are in their early 20's (college age). There is some theoretical appeal for both teens and adults. Many adults are now reading YA, but new adult may have more adult situations/themes.  I have an urban fantasy series coming out soon that is clearly new adult, but since very few people have heard of it, finding my target market has been a…See More

I've never added a blog post this way before. They usually come stragith from my web site. Unfortunately, for the next few days, my website will be down to honor the passing of our old and no-longer trusty web server.  May it rest in peace.

Hello, Christine!

He is considered the most innovative of the Brazilian modernists. Besides having been a precursor of the Tropicália movement and of the "marginal poetry" of the 70s, de Andrade wrote three major manifestos: the Pau-Brasil Poetry Manifesto (1924), Pau Brasil (1925) and the Anthropophagic Manifesto (1928). He also introduced Brazilian literature to experimental prose with Memórias Sentimentais de João Miramar (1924).Visit me plase: http://nelsonsouzza.blogspot.com/2011/07/memorias-sentimentais-de-joao-miramar.html

Thanks! Have a nice day!
