Interview with Will McClinton

I’d like to welcome Will McClinton to my blog for an interview. Here is a little about him:In high school, my passion for writing grew. By the summer after graduation it was a possibility. Then I was blindsided by a MVA (motor vehicle accident) that changed the direction of my life. I lost sight of my joy in writing. This is…See More

Exciting News...

I can barely contain myself. I weighed myself this morning with the thought that I stayed the same weight over the past week – not because I hadn’t eaten well or exercised enough, but because I didn’t feel much different, and I don’t like to get my hopes up. I stepped on the scale and couldn’t believe the number. I had lost 4.2 lbs! Oh my gosh, I was so happy.I’ve now lost 74 lbs since April 20th, 2012 and I’ve gone from a size 3X/24 to a L/14. Even some of my larges and 14s are too big! I…See More

Slow progress is still progress

Good morning, everyone.I weighed in and measured myself today. For the last four weeks, I lost 3 pounds and 4 inches. Considering all the work I did during that time, I am not happy with the weight I lost. I decreased my calorie intake from 2,200+ calories a day to 1,900 (daily average). I burned 2,600 calories a day (on average), so my deficit was 700 calories a day. That would mean that I should have lost 1 1/2 pounds a week – a total of 6 pounds. I am very accurate and honest with my food…See More

Checking in!

Hello, everyone!I just wanted to check in, because it’s been a while since my last post. I’ve been going to physical therapy one day a week, every week. My last appointment (yesterday) showed great progress. I’ve been practicing lunges and squats, using the bosu ball, trampoline, and balance boards, and my physical therapist said I looked really good, that my form was good and it looked like I did the exercises with ease. That was great to hear! I’ve noticed that I’m better at standing on the…See More

Interview with Michael Brookes

Michael Brookes is an Executive Producer with a leading UK games developer. Working in games and writing are two of his life passions and he considers himself fortunate to be able to indulge in them both. He lives in the east of England, enjoying starry skies in the flattest part of the country. When not working or writing he can sometimes be found sleeping, which is good, as that is where many good ideas come from.Christine: Are you solely a writer or do you have multiple occupations?Michael:…See More

Great progress and weigh-in!

I’ve made great progress with physical therapy and I’ve only been doing it for a couple of weeks. I have less knee pain in general, I’m able to crouch down to the floor, I can sit cross-legged without much discomfort, I can kneel on the floor and sit back on my feet without much tightness in my knees, and I can tell my legs are getting stronger from observing my ability level with the PT exercises. It feels great to be more flexible and stronger!I’ve been taught new exercises and given new…See More

Physical therapy

I went to my first physical therapy appointment last week. It was a long wait in the waiting room, but when I got to see the physical therapist, she spent 45 minutes with me. She tested my strength, balance, and flexibility. I did pretty well, except for some weakness in one of the exercises. She evaluated me and wrote everything down in my chart. We discussed my past injuries, my fitness level, my recent setback (knee pain from overexerting myself), and my goals. I told her I want to advance…See More

Really enjoying working out

Hi everyone. Happy Friday! What are your weekend plans? If the hiking boots I ordered arrive, I’ll be going hiking, probably on Sunday. I’ll probably be power-walking on Saturday, because the weather has just been so nice and I’ve been really enjoying my power-walks. I reached my goal of a 15-minute mile! My usual walk is 1.9 miles. I’m thinking of taking the long route back home, instead of taking a side street, to make it two miles. At least I think it will be two miles; I’ll have to…

Hi, I came across your blog, and I thought you would be the perfect person to contact.

My name is Jay Siva, the founder of EZBuyButton.com, an easy 'buy book' widget for authors. I'm contacting you today because I think you and your readers would love to know about the EZBuyButton widget I've created.

It is the most advanced 'buy now' widget for selling books. I make it free for authors and publishers, worldwide, to quickly and easily create and use our EZBuyButton widget to place on their website or blog to immediately increase the sales of their books, especially if their books are listed for sale in more than one retail store. I made it super easy, with just a few clicks they just copy & paste a piece of code onto their website/blog, and they're done.

The widget allows website visitors to select which device they'd like to use to read the author's book, and then select their preferred retail store that they'd like to purchase the book from. It also geolocates the visitor's location and will send the visitor to the correct country specific retail store so that they can buy the author's book. The widget is also fully customizable, and the author will have access to detailed real-time statistics of the use of their widget.

I would like to invite you to visit my website, and try out the EZBuyButton widget. I hope you find that my widget will be useful to you and your readers, including all the authors, literary agents, and publishers you're in contact with.

My website is http://www.ezbuybutton.com.

If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them for you. Thank you for your time.

kindest regards,
Jay Siva

I'm glad you liked my review. I was a bit worried that it was too flippant or self-referential. :D
