About Me:
Chuck Keyes has written and published two books and variety of poems, known worldwide for his unique, creative style. Chuck Keyes is a Medical Engineer who has always enjoyed the human creativeness of not over your head, exhilarating science fiction. Chuck currently resides in beautiful Athens, Texas, a thriving medical device-manufacturing town. Chuck enjoys his relaxing hobby as a sci-fi novelist, offering readers exciting stories filled with imagination.

My objective as a novelist is to offer readers enjoyable sci-fi stories that are not over their heads with deliberate uncommon words and concepts that only an Einstein can comprehend. Exciting, easy to read stories offering the readers much more than science fiction. I love twisting comedy, love, drama, adventure, horror, action, and mystery into my stories. I truly hope that you will enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed creating them. I plan to continue offering my readers new novels, such as such as the first novel of my Apollo Trilogy: Apollo, A Roman Galactic Police officer. The second Apollo Novel: Apollo Versus The Timekeepers.

Cynella's Gift, A Novel by Chuck Keyes

This is an awe-inspiring science fiction story about a below average man who has scores of personal evils. He’s an insulin-dependent diabetic that drinks too much beer, eats too much junk food, chain smokes cigarettes, indulges in marijuana, and he’s suffering from deep-rooted guilt. Due to his stupidly, his young beautiful daughter is a comatose patient in a hospice nursing home in Dallas Texas. His self-tormented life radically changes after receiving a mysterious gift that may alter the destiny of humanity.

Coming Soon: My Apollo Trilogy

Apollo, A Roman Galactic Police Officer

After pursuing a dangerous roman scientist almost halfway across the universe, Apollo's doomed essence is transferred into a lower life animal that inhabits our earth. To continue his lawful pursuit to capture the mad medical scientist, Apollo works with a few chosen humans, such as Sheriff Morgan Blaze and Deputy Pollyanna Stanford, so they can attempt to stop the diabolical Dr. Mors before he dominates the human race with his strange multi-weapon that turns humans into living stone and his God-like super brainpower.

Apollo Versus The Timekeepers

The second novel of the Apollo trilogy. To save his beloved Polly, Apollo must time travel sixty-five million years into earths past, near the end of the Cretaceous period, approximately six months before the dinosaur-killing meteorite hits the earth. A new earth in which no human being has ever witnessed. A treacherous untamed world where giant meat-eating dinosaurs rule the top of the food chain.

Apollo Beyond The Universe
(Working title and concept)

The third novel of the Apollo trilogy. Can Apollo save the entire universe from being transformed into an eighth dimension? Apollo and his team must challenge a dangerous race of anti-matter beings who live beyond the boundary of our universe.

Who the hell ever heard of Sci-Fi Poetry?

Beyond Our Blue Sphere

Light-years into a boundless imagination…
traveling in a vessel propelled by moonbeams.
Worlds abound to offer an incredible vision…
charting the heavens to create fictitious dreams.

Cosmic splendor beyond our blue sphere…
visualized within the mind of a sci-fi novelist.
Evolution of design throughout the frontier…
alien creatures created by a biblical activist.

Storytelling to liberate the readers mind…
imagined from that which is the unknown.
To voyage beyond the reality of humankind…
entering into a heart throbbing cosmic zone.

Pages filled with the rapture of endless time…
spewing stardust from a wondrous black hole.
Writing an alien mountain of a tale for all to climb…
is grand enjoyment within a sci-fi novelist’s soul.

My Naked Delight

Naked under the soft moonlight,
a tantalizing vision for my delight.
She inflames my sexual appetite,
with passion in her eyes so bright.

An ardent smile of warm sunlight,
and sweet honeysuckle lips to incite.
A perfect woman amidst the twilight,
churning my passions to fully ignite.

A love that makes my life just right,
posing freely for my heaven of sight.
My true love beyond a desires flight,
an angel to cuddle through the night.

Arms held out to bid a devoted invite,
warm flesh to flesh, as our hearts unite.
She is my life's treasure I hold so tight,
and for her, my love, this poem I recite.

Love is within the eyes of the beholder...

The Card of Gold

Behold the card of gold,
a story that must be told.
For he was not too old,
when he happily enrolled,
to own a card of gold.

His selfish desires overflowed,
as he paid the lowest owed.
His max limit increased fivefold,
and the interest grew like mold,
which only the fine print foretold.

Now he hates his card of gold,
because he will pay until he's old.
Behold the fool's blindfold,
for it is a card of gold,
a story that must be told.

"Love this author Chuck Keyes!
I am now a Sci-Fi enthusiast since reading "Cynella's Gift". Never liked Sci-Fi until reading this book. His characters were intricate on their own venue, especially Jimmy whom I didn't like at first but quickly changed and couldn't wait to see why. Jesse was a character who everyone would like to work or be a friend with. Cynella comes in as the guardian angel to help them save humanity after responding to what she hoped for was good people she could trust her gift with. Sounds like he's writing another book and whet the appetite with an Apollo character in his next book. Bring it on! Can't wait!"

"This is one of the best science fiction books I’ve ever read, there were a couple of really heartwarming moments involving Jimmy’s family. The whole book was just amazing, and all the characters were so interesting I had a hard time putting it down. I’m trying to get all my friends and family to read it."

WOW Cynella's Gift is a hit!
I've never liked Sci-Fi stories before, too over my head or gorey. But this hits the mark for me. Jimmy the lead character I at first didn't like because he was a cold man. When "it" happened to him, there's the man we knew he could be in joining the ranks of being a human capable of emotion and love. Jesse is a cool character, his radar is always out and he is perfect for the job - plus loves the 'hair dryer' looking fancy shooter that Jimmy has invented to destroy the bad guys that know they have "the gift" to possibly save humanity. Great shoot out! Cynella is to me like humanities guardian angel and she has a compelling personality that wins over humans and puts them in their direction. If there was no Cynella this world wouldn't be here very long. The countdown to the end of the world was fast paced and I was wondering where Cynella was, but there was a reason! Got me excited that these people were trying so hard, but they needed more to really see into each other and recognize who was real... I enjoyed how he brought in his latest book about Apollo and the Time Keepers into the ending to whet the appetite. I hope it comes out soon because this sci-fi fan wants more!

I now love Sci-Fi books by Chuck Keyes,
Finally got a copy of Cynella’s Gift and I loved it. Never was a Sci-Fi person, but has turned me around and I love the way he writes and explains all characters and their worth. Jimmy after receiving The Gift turned into a wonderful human and his relationship with his bedridden comatose daughter was heartwarming. Jesse is a riot and a person Id love having work for me too! Cynella is in her own way beautiful like a guardian angel of humanity. Sounds like there’s more in his realm to wet our appetites with a future new read with a character called Apollo. Can’t wait this is addicting!

Faraway

I blow a kiss to the one I love,
Through the air like a magical dove.
Sailing on doting wings of my creation,
A kiss, a love, as pure as a white carnation.

Traveling along the winds of flight,
Gently parting the points of starlight.
From here to there my kiss shall touch,
the one I miss so much.

Imagine This

Grant me a moment to share my thoughts…
no matter how imaginative they may be.
I occasionally think of floating astronauts…
braving a new frontier for everyone to see.

I imagine spaceships traveling faster than light…
piloted by inquisitive aliens thinking about us.
I wonder what’s lurking around during the night…
something wickedly hideous and carnivorous.

I ponder about what my dog might be thinking…
for his doggy expressions do proclaim thought.
I imagine those weird ocean creatures so eluding…
a deep alien world to be explored by an oceanaut.

I think about other dimensional planes of existence…
where bone-chilling monsters may be laying in wait.
I occasionally wonder if ghosts are among our presence…
or are they just illusions human imaginations create.

I wonder if microscopic aliens invaded my ear canal…
and they claim the property as their new homeland.
Sometimes my outlandish imagination is not rationale…
but without our imaginations, our lives would be bland.
