- I'm a writer, primarily of crime fiction and have lived in Hawaii for over thirty years. Inspired by Tony Hillerman, I weave the myths and legends of the Hawaiian Islands into fast-paced, high-tension suspense novels. Pleasing the Dead, the fourth in the series, takes place on Maui.
