Follow the twists and turns of the Larkin and Sullivan families, who settle in America in the mid-1800s. John Larkin builds his vast business empire while daughter Molly and lighthouse keeper Colm Sullivan establish a connection that will endure for generations. Amidst murder, madness, perverse self-indulgence and avarice the two families struggle to free themselves from a dark legacy of secrets and obsessions.
More than twenty years in the making, Collective Obsessions is a unique eight-part family saga set in the combined genres of mystery, historical romance and the paranormal - all dotted with hints of the macabre and classic Gothicism.

Hi Deidre and welcome to book blogs. I have encountered many friends and obtained very valuable advice here. I know you will do the same. I am an author currently working on my debut novel CHANCES an inspirational romance. If you have the time I would love for you to stop by my blog and become a follower at www.inspiredshelves.wordpress.com and like my facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Inspired-Shelves/273912099352616
Hello and welcome! It's hard to believe, but I've been on here almost a year, but when I first started I found it immensely comforting and helpful to get a few hellos, so thought I'd share a few. :) There's a lot going on around here - some of it confusing, some daunting, but mostly all helpful. If I can ever help, let me know!
Also, if you have a second, check out my blog (shameless self-promo plug here, sorry, but that's what we authors do right?!) - www.Jill-Elizabeth.com. I usually have a giveaway or two, book reviews, interviews, thoughts on reading/writing, and occasionally even a few of my own scribbles. Hope to see you - and am happy to check out your site if you send a link!
Good luck -
jill
