One night she comes upon an old painting in an antique store and is compelled to purchase it. When she brings it home an image of a young woman appears in the sketch and then magically materializes in her apartment. Emylene nick-names her 'Poinsettia' and they soon become fast friends. I like to review short stories because I've been told there's a shortage of people willing to review this particular genre. I also find it's a fairly quick way to get new material onto my blog. Being a writer myself, I don't always have the time to devote to reading and reviewing full-length novels.
