STARCROSSED REVIEW

Starcrossed by Josephine AngeliniHow do you defy destiny? Helen Hamilton has spent her entire sixteen years trying to hide how different she is—no easy task on an island as small and sheltered as Nantucket. And it's getting harder. Nightmares of a desperate desert journey have Helen waking parched, only to find her sheets damaged by dirt and dust. At school she's haunted by hallucinations of three women weeping tears of blood . . . and when Helen first crosses paths with Lucas Delos, she has no…See More

So faithful followers, we (Gilbert & Gomez) have decided that it's about darn time that we had a giveaway. YAY, WOO, YEAH! We figure that to bring the sheep to field you need food, or something like that. How do you make a giveaway? Somebody PLEASE reply.

So Gomez and I have decided that we should hold a giveaway. Now the problem comes about with we don't know exactly how to do it?Are there specific requirements? How do we pick a winner? How many winners should there be? What kind of books should we giveaway? These are some of the questions that we are asking ourselves, but they aren't the only ones. Could anyone help guide us through the do's and don't's of holding a giveaway? We would really appreciate it. :)See More

You know that I'll post when the book is avaliable and I'll def give you a review copy. Just drop a comment on the post and I'll give it to. Free of charge, lol. Then you can tell me yourselves what you think of it. Scary thought there.

No problem. Love your blog. I just I had more time to stop by and fully explore it. Darn work and other responsibilties! :/ God, blogging is exactly what I thought it would be: Time consuming and fun! I just forgot all about the networking part that could practically take up all available time. Not to mention writing and reviewing books. Anyway, I just started up my blog too and I'm now just getting the hang of it. The advice I would give you is: Just be honest with reviews. If you didn't like a book, say it. If you did, say it! I know, corny and you've probably know it already but I have to say, it's the hardest for me to review a book when I know the author. And the author could be the sweetest person eva, but if their book sucks . . . It's difficult to say the least. Or even to tell them what is wrong with it and you can't put your finger on it. Then you just feel like you can't help them at all . . .

Oh dear Lord, I'm babbling. Y'all can probably hear my Southern accent. :P Anyway, just be honest and know that it's the best policy.

Hey Gilbert and Gomez,

Oh, yeah, I'm defintely going the self-pub route. Hence the need for the book cover and the editing. :P All of my books have sat on the shelves waiting for someone to say they are good enough. And when I was freshman in college, somebody did. But ever since then it makes me upset that I'm not out there publishing when I know I'm ready. So now, I don't the approval. I got it. And I'm going out there to self-publish.

Omg, thanks! :) I love it to just for that reason. It's simple and yet breathtaking! And if you notice, a lot of book covers ARE simple but still tug at your interest. Twilight, Elixir, and so many others in young adult do the same thing. I just thought would follow the trend. Now I just have to make sure the book itself matches the cover. I'm a little worried that people will see the grogeous cover then read it and be like, "Dang it! The cover is better than the book!" So I'm working on that!

Thanks for following my blog. And I'm happy to be following yours. :)

Yea, I am kinda young and I'm just starting life.

I get a lot of Ooohs and Awwws for being so young, but why not start now? I am capable of anything, The only thing holding me back is myself.

When it comes to books there is no holding back.

Let me start at the beginning.......

It was senior year, I (Gilbert) was president of book club and my club was part of YALSA's 16 book groups across the country. At the time a friend of mine finally decided that she was going to write her book. She had been thinking about it but wasn't sure. So, being the…
