I am a part-time librarian at the local public library, and am also going to school full-time to become an elementary ed teacher. I started my blog as a way of sharing the great nonfiction finds I picked up from the library, but along the way, I began adding stories of all the wacky and wild things that happen at work. I hope you enjoy my posts!
Hey everyone, it's Hava from Nonfiction Lover. It's come to my attention that not everyone in the world is interested in only nonfiction book reviews. Strange but true.
In an attempt to help my readers find other book blogs that they might enjoy ...

Early Endorsements for “A Circle of Souls”
Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."
Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of the Judge Judy Show: "The seminal work of this fine author kept me glued to my chair until the adventure was over and the mystery solved. A great read!"
Book Synopsis:
The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.
Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.
The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.
In this stunning psychological thriller, innocence gives way to evil, and trust lies forgotten in a web of deceit, fear, and murder.
My name is Chris Tusa, and I'm a writer from New Orleans. My debut novel, Dirty Little Angels, is being released from the University of West Alabama on March 1st, and is now available for pre-order from Amazon.com. I am writing because I was hoping you might be willing to mention it on your blog (or consider it for review). I've included a summary of the novel below:
Dirty Little Angels
Set in the slums of New Orleans, among clusters of crack houses and abandoned buildings, Dirty Little Angels is the story of sixteen year old Hailey Trosclair. When the Trosclair family suffers a string of financial hardships and a miscarriage, Hailey finds herself looking to God to save her family. When her prayers go unanswered, Hailey puts her faith in Moses Watkins, a failed preacher and ex-con. Fascinated by Moses's lopsided view of religion, Hailey, and her brother Cyrus, begin spending time down at an abandoned bank that Moses plans to convert into a drive-through church. Gradually, though, Moses's twisted religious beliefs become increasingly more violent, and Hailey and Cyrus soon find themselves trapped in a world of danger and fear from which there may be no escape.

Not a problem at all! I have endless patience, no worries. 8-)
Anyway, I can't tell you why there are only two themes showing up, but I guess I might as well warn you now (sorry, I didn't think of adding this warning before, which I feel REALLY bad about!!!!!!!) But the bad news is that Today is working to change all sites over to a new universal theme. If you want to see what this theme looks like, check out my site. That's it. You can change the header and of course mess with the widgets in the sidebar to your heart's content, but for NOW, that is the only thing you can do to change the look of the site.
Now, Today has promised that after they get the small bugs out of this theme, that they are going to add more options to the theme so you can change things like the background color, etc. But for now, it's the header, and that's pretty much it.
You should be able to have a different theme on there right now though, because Today has not made the new theme mandatory yet. Most of the Today blogs are still running whatever theme they chose before, not the new theme, and I haven't heard anyone else say that they couldn't access any other theme. Since this is out of my skill range, I'd suggest going to the Today forums and posting in the Support section to see if the admins can figure out what's happening.
I'm sorry I don't have better news for you. :-( If this is a deal breaker, I understand - how your blog looks is a very personal thing, and you want it to look exactly how you want it to look! lol.
I thought I'd contact you through here so I can stop messing up your comment string.
I was accepted by Today withing 2hrs of applying! I'm wondering, though. They say that they have more than 75 (or is it 175) themes available, but I seem to only be able to access 2! Is this a newby thing?
It's really, very important to me what my blog looks like. I couldn't find anything in the wiki suggesting that I shouldn't be able to access any of them.
Any ideas?
Thanks for being so helpful to this point, and if I get on your nerves, feel free to say so.
BJ Gupta, I followed your link and checked out your PDF file, but closed it after I realized that it was a self-published book. I do not read self-published books.
