Can someone please explain to me why there are so many horror stories out there? One of our local bookstores has an entire section devoted entirely to horror stories. What does it say about our society as a whole that people buy, read, and make movies depicting all manner of horror. The evening news and the internet are full of real life horrors evey day. Stories of real human suffering that boogle the mind. Call me a square but I dont get it.See More

LOVE LETTER TO THE WORLD

This was given to me recently by a colleague. I was deeply moved. I thought perhaps my fellow book blog members might find it meaningful as well.Love Letter to the WorldIn the face of complaints, look that person in the eye and imagine what it might have been like to be raised to see only what is wrong. In the face of selfishness, wonder what it might have been like to walk the world with a feeling of lack, of depletion. In the face of insults, consider where this person first learned its okay…See More

What Does it Mean to....

Hello Everyone!I have a question I would love some feedback on. There are two major things my editor wants me to do with my writing. The first is to "add scene" and the second is to "show not tell" the reader. Make them feel as if they are in the story. I have had a couple of enlighting conversations about this and yet I wonder jusyt how explicit should I be in my descriptions? Along with this, what does it mean to "add scene" ?I have always believed a writer does this by describing the time,…See More

New Discovery

I just now discovered this page. I didnt know I had a blog page here.  I usually blog everything on my blogspot blog. Anyway I've been thinking about my writing. Writing is and has always been a hoby, something I do in my free time which usually isnt much especially these days. Now it seems like its becoming more than a part time hobby. Now I have a professional editor who has read some of my stuff and tells me I have a real talent and has offered to work with me for free. Wow I mean how many…See More

Hi, I came across your blog, and I thought you would be the perfect person to contact.

My name is Jay Siva, the founder of EZBuyButton.com, an easy 'buy book' widget for authors. I'm contacting you today because I think you and your readers would love to know about the EZBuyButton widget I've created.

It is the most advanced 'buy now' widget for selling books. I make it free for authors and publishers, worldwide, to quickly and easily create and use our EZBuyButton widget to place on their website or blog to immediately increase the sales of their books, especially if their books are listed for sale in more than one retail store. I made it super easy, with just a few clicks they just copy & paste a piece of code onto their website/blog, and they're done.

The widget allows website visitors to select which device they'd like to use to read the author's book, and then select their preferred retail store that they'd like to purchase the book from. It also geolocates the visitor's location and will send the visitor to the correct country specific retail store so that they can buy the author's book. The widget is also fully customizable, and the author will have access to detailed real-time statistics of the use of their widget.

I would like to invite you to visit my website, and try out the EZBuyButton widget. I hope you find that my widget will be useful to you and your readers, including all the authors, literary agents, and publishers you're in contact with.

My website is http://www.ezbuybutton.com.

If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them for you. Thank you for your time.

kindest regards,
Jay Siva

Hi, My name is anita buice and I'm new to Book Blogs.  I would love to follow your work and if you'd send me a link to anitawbuice@gmail.com, I will.  My site is anitabook.com as in "I need a book."  I would LOVE for you to check it out and if you like it get ready to send me some books to review.  My address is anita buice, 202 Richards Street, Carrollton, Georgia 30117.  Then just look for the review on anitabook.com.  If you could send multiple books I would use them for giveaways to promote your work and my site.  I look forward to hearing from you and thank you in advance for the time and effort that it takes to make this happen. Blessings, anita of anitabook.com
