Why so many horror stories?

Can someone please explain to me why there are so many horror stories out there?One of our local bookstores has an entire section devoted entirely to horror stories. What does it say about our society as a whole that people buy, read, and make movies depicting all manner of horror.The evening news and the internet are full of real life horrors evey day. What Does it Mean to....

Hello Everyone!I have a question I would love some feedback on. There are two major things my editor wants me to do with my writing.
