- J. Leland Kupferberg is a founder of, and artistic participant in, the newly launched website PatronQuo.com - a unique online initiative to promote fiction writers through a patronage model.
The aim? To bring undiscovered, overlooked, and underrated literary talent directly to the readers. On PatronQuo, readers, fans, and visitors are urged to become patrons of the authors they deem most worthy of their support. In turn, each patron gets their own profile and a prominent placement on the story or novel excerpt page that they have offered their patronage for.
Readers also get a chance to weigh in by voting on the randomized Match Bouts that appear at the foot of each story page throughout the site. For those who love to offer their opinions about what's worth reading, this is the site for you. For those who crave their literary platters to be served up with a side order of stats, sport, and competition, there is really nothing quite like this on the Web.
So, come and participate in the Web's most innovative online showcase for contemporary literary talent. Come as a participating writer, reader, patron, fan, blogger, reviewer, or judge. On PatronQuo, you - the reader - determines whose work is worthy enough to rise to the top of the rankings.

What's it all about, can you tell me? People who write books don't make much money. How does it work? Thanks for explaining it, if you will.
