About Me:
Jacqueline Maduneme was born Jacqueline Chinyelu Ikeji in 1969 in Nnewi, then part of the Independent Republic of Biafra and now the Federal Republic of Nigeria. After the Nigeria-Biafra War, her family moved back to Enugu and then to Lagos, then the capital of Nigeria. At the age of 10, she left Lagos to attend a Catholic boarding school, Queen of the Rosary Secondary School, in Nsukka, graduating at the age of 15.

In January of 1985, she left Nigeria for Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to attend Southern University, graduating in 1988 at the age of 19 with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting. She later attained a Juris Doctor from Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans in 1997 and an LL.M. in International Tax from New York University School of Law in 1998. She is also a CPA and a CFA charterholder. Jacqueline went on to hold senior positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Citigroup.

After being part of mass layoffs from Citigroup in 2009, Jacqueline finally slowed down her frenetic pace to reflect on where this next phase in her life would take her. She decided to pursue two of her dreams: to become an entrepreneur, and, after being urged by friends fascinated by her life story, to write her memoir. Ada’s Daughter is that story.

Today Jacqueline is a budding entrepreneur and has formed her own publishing company, Pointed Arrows, where she anticipates featuring the works of new writers, particularly ethnic authors, and those writing about cultural, social, and human rights issues. She has many more ideas for books and plans to keep writing in the future. She is also a life coach / motivational speaker.
