- I'm retired and live in Massachusetts. I've been interested in writing for a long time, and use the study of writing fiction as my procrastination tool, but I still managed to write and self publish a novel recently, (The Castlegate Club), and I've written a bunch of short stories that I have not tried to publish. I'm also trying to learn web design and code my own website. I was born and brought up in Brighton, Massachusetts, a section of Boston, and still live about twenty miles north of Boston.
