Beautiful if rather scary wildlife!

I have to admit it was only around 2010 that I first heard the term steampunk, I haven't read a lot of steampunk yet but I must admit I like the romanticism of the genre.  As to a good title to start with how about one of the early steampunk novels like Annubis Gates by Tim Powers it is a good read but the emphasis is more fantasy rather than science fiction or the other good title might be Mark Hodder's The Strange Affair of Spring Heeled Jack it can be read as a stand alone even though it is the first in a trilogy, also a good read.  If your into paranormal romance Gail Carriger's Soulless might be a good start, it is also the first of a series but could be read as a single novel without reading further.  Hope you find something you like.

Hi Jane, just checked out your blog, interesting rating system, so are polar bears just a common part of the scenery given your in greenland, or do you just really like polar bears? Like the way you use the blog to keep track of your challenges.
