Jeff Mariotte joined Candy O'Donnell's groupThere are a few moments in a writer's life that stand out as landmarks. Holding that first published book in your hands is one of them. The first check is nice, too. Then as each successive book is published, getting it and turning it around, looking at the binding, examining the cover--these are all special, wonderful experiences. Something that you wrote, someone else cared enough about to edit and publish and now it's not just an idea but a thing, solid and real. The joy that accompanies…

There's one month to go before the February 26 debut of my new supernatural thriller Season of the Wolf.
Early reviews have been overwhelmingly positive. TT Zuma at Horror World.org started his review with this: "This might be the most ambitious novel Jeff Mariotte has ever written. Aside from a large cast of…

For a limited time only, you can pick up The Slab as a free e-book!
I enrolled The Slab in the Kindle Select program, so people can check it out, as in a library. Part of the deal is that Amazon allows you to offer any Kindle Select book for free, for five days during the 90-day window. My five days start now.

Just listened to that short story you recorded at the radio station. Great job. Remind me not to be hitchhiking whenever you're out on the road.
Paul D. Dail said… Yes, indeed. Look forward to it. Thanks for your kind words about my blog. Also for the comments. I try to respond to all comments, but not sure if people are notified when I do, so thought I'd let you know.
And looking forward to exploring your blog more (and writing) as well.
Hope you are having a good weekend.

Saw your comment on the "Publish" forum. Then checked out your blog. Seems like we are like-minded individuals (politically and artistically) and would probably be friends in real life, as well.
As introduction, I'm a supernatural/horror writer, but my blog is more overall literary based. Hope you'll stop by. For new friends, I like to recommend my post, "My own Works Cited list: 10 books that have inspired me," with the hopes that you'll comment with some of your own faves.
But if you want a sample of my writing, I did the Friday Flash Fiction this week (The Professional Crier).
Happy Friday!
