By the way, I LOVE Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell - I heard Susannah Clarke read from it when it first came out (I was living in Philadelphia at the time and she was at the Free Library) and fell in love with the concept...  You are the only other person I've found so far who also enjoyed it - I have seen/heard several people say they found it dull or confusing or difficult, which I just don't see!!
