As of recent, my blog has been lacking readers and also books to review. Possibly it could be attributed to the frequency of reviews per month. And that my status still remains "novice," among other writers. Does anyone know any means of gaining r...

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
About Me:
I'm unbelievably eclectic to the extent where fifteen pages could only describe one dimension of myself. I'm a self acclaimed bibliophile and loves to escape into books. Also, I tend to be introverted unless in certain circumstances where I readily relate to the other person I'm talking to. Other than that, I'm a neat freak and love staying within the safe boundaries of my room. Though I do need the occasional symphonic metal concert, book signing, or convention to stimulate me.

By the way, for all those wondering about the bands I listen to while reading or writing. One of my favorites is a band called Within Temptation, who originates from Holland. Imagine combining an orchestra and a rock band, then have a female whose capable of singing angelically; that's when you've achieved the sounds of Within Temptation. Their music's heavily inspired by European myths and fairy tales. Some songs such as "Hand of Sorrow" are inspired by "Assassin's Apprentice" by Robin Hobb. Similiar bands are Nightwish and Epica, both equally as brilliant in their own respective manner.

Review of "Boy Toy" By Barry Lyga

Most would greet this novel's subject matter with discernment or with chagrin, rather than read this book. But before judging it harshly, please be aware Barry Lyga handles the issue of sexual abuse with great care. Before delving into the book, I had my own reasons for not reading the novel. Yet some issues such as the sexual abuse of minors is definitely relevant and crucial for a time where sex offenders are prevalent. And where the psychological damage reaped upon the victim can really effec… Continue

Early Endorsements for “A Circle of Souls”

Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."

Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of the Judge Judy Show: "The seminal work of this fine author kept me glued to my chair until the adventure was over and the mystery solved. A great read!"

Book Synopsis:

The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.

Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.

The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.
