I apologize if I'm not supposed to post a discussion after sending a message -- I'm new (or newly returned after a long absence) and thought the message was a post. . . .I'm hunting for reviews for my novel Wander Home, a family drama with mystery and romance elements set in a re-imagined afterlife. Heeeere's the blurb:Death is what you make it. . . .Eleanor never wanted to leave the daughter she loved so much. The overpowering urge to wander -- to search, without knowing what she sought --…See More

My new novel, Wander Home, comes out today (as an ebook) on Amazon, the Nook Store and Smashwords. :-)Wander Home is a family drama with mystery elements, set in an afterlife of my own devising. Here's a description:Death is what you make it. . . .Eleanor never wanted to leave the daughter she loved so much. The overpowering urge to wander -- to search, without knowing what she sought -- drove her away. She left little Cassidy in her family's loving care. But Cassidy and the others died in an…See More

I hope I've understood how this group works. If indie authors are free to propose their books for the group to read, then I have. If not, my apologies! My self-published science fiction novel Twin-Bred asks: can interspecies diplomacy begin in the womb? Humans have lived on Tofarn, planet of creeks and rivers, for seventy years, but they still don’t understand the Tofa. The Tofa are an enigma, from their featureless faces to the four arms that sometimes seem to be five. They take arbitrary…See More
My science fiction novel, Twin-Bred, is out today! Great timing - it's my older daughter's birthday, and she has had a lot to do with my decision to write the book. And she's the cover artist! (She's an art student at Savannah College of Art and Design, so she's qualified.)I'd love to have some more reviews, and I can provide a Smashwords coupon so reviewers can get the book for free. (Email me for the coupon code.)Twin-Bred is available for sampling and/or purchase at the following…See More
"Yup, your book needn't be published yet. Mine doesn't come out for another 3 weeks, but it's been on GoodReads for at least 6 - and almost 400 people have added it! You just need to have a book you can claim to get author status. You…"
"Great start! Let me know if you find Red Room to be useful. I've talked to a number of author friends who are on it but just don't see the point.
Send the link to your GoodReads profile if you'd like one more friend/fan ;-)
hard to say, but perhaps Mary Doria Russell's The Sparrow

I read science fiction, historical fiction, biography, history, 18th and 19th Century English classics, mysteries, YA, and once in a while a bit of fantasy. Hello! Do you want to help a child to get some friends through her book blog? :) I have a blog and I'd get glad if you could visit it. It is necessary to divulge my work since I want to turn it into a big book space for all.
Yup, your book needn't be published yet. Mine doesn't come out for another 3 weeks, but it's been on GoodReads for at least 6 - and almost 400 people have added it! You just need to have a book you can claim to get author status. You can manually add your book before publication too.
I’m new myself to the site but so far I've found it a great place to meet other blogger friends, so you’ve definitely come to the right place if you want to network with other book lovers and writers. If you’re a fan of paranormal fiction, please give my debut novel Perpetual Night a look. I’m planning to do a giveaway in the near future GoodReads (Click here for my Author Page). And here’s the link to my blog Diary of a Writer in Progress where I talk about my own experiences becoming a published author and review some books for fellow writers.
Now tell me about you, your blog, and favorite books!
Wow, so you have a lot going on. We're peas in a pod :-)
Word of advice: Build your blog as part of your book release. Also get active on Twitter, Facebook, Google+, and GoodReads. It makes a huge difference in sales. Trust me on this one, I'm a book publicist!
