I love young adult books even though I'm in my mid-fifties. Have you read any of Gary Paulsen's books, especially "Hatchett" which inspired 3 in sequels so many people wrote to him? Also, S.E. Hinton? And Adriana Trigiani who is an adult author just wrote her first 2 young adult novels. One was out last year and one about a month ago. They are titled: "Viola in Reel Life" and "Viola in the Spotlight" respectively.
