Profile Information

About Me:
Hi, I am an aspiring author and mom to one very energetic horse and two slightly demonic, yet cute, cats. My first book Midnight Reflections is now up at Amazon.com. It is a mystery thriller involving vampires, werewolves, warlocks and a serial killer. Basically, the story starts with an young woman struggling to deal with being turned into a vampires. Shortly after she begins adapting to her new unlife, a friend of hers is killed and she becomes involved in the investigation into finding the killer. In a world where vampires and werewolves are common and accepted, sometimes it is hard to find the actual monsters.

My third customer review for my book

So excited. My third customer review for my book, Midnight Reflections, is up on Amazon.com. I got 5 Stars for the first time! So very happy right now, I'm giddy!

First part of Tainted Blood

Here is the first part of my newest book, Tainted Blood.

Chapter One

Dr. Wendy Reed flipped open the chart and read through the test results looking for anything she might have missed the three previous times she had read them.  Sighing, she closed the chart and knocked quickly on the exam room door before entering.

“Paul,” Dr. Reed greeted the older man sitting in a chair against the wall.  Putting the chart down, she took the seat across from…

Tainted Blood summary

Here is the summary of my newest book, Tainted Blood (3rd in the Preternatural Investigation Agency series.)

Lilith's Day is a time of celebration and remembrance among vampires.  As the holiday looms, a series of horrific deaths shocks the vampire community of Riverside and gathers the attention of Tom Duncan and his agents at the Preternatural Investigation Agency.   The vampires’ blood products had never been considered vulnerable to tampering, so when the cause of death…

Dead Awakening first chapter

Below is the first part of Dead Awakening, the 2nd in the Preternatural Investigation Agency series

‘Things were finally going well,’ Billy Markum thought to himself. He was a firm believer that life was not defined solely by one particular moment, but rather by many little events. Even more important was…

Congrats on your first novel! I will have to check it out! Are you working on a sequel yet? I am an aspiring writer myself. I'm currently trying to complete my first novel.

I am also a fan of Kim Harrison and Charlaine Harris. I also love Laurell K. Hamilton, Christopher Pike, and Patricia Briggs.

I have always been curious about Jim Butcher, but I have never read any of his work. Did you ever watch the Dresden Files on TV?

Well You listed some of the authors I like! LOL I to be honest have not read your work yet. I really did like that cover and that is usually enough for me to look for a book! I'll have to read that "Midnight Reflections" before your next book comes out though...congrats on that by the way!

Sounds great Katrina! We'd be thrilled to put it in the big book giveaway. We think it will generate a lot of interest in titles. I've got family for the holidays for the next few days but we'll set this up within the week so I'll contact you then. What a great idea to have the book signed! Thanks so much!

I'd love to Katrina! We were planning a giveaway with several books available to win and the winners would get to choose from the stack.

Your book could be part of that or, if you prefer, we could have a giveaway that is just for your book. We could also do an interview with you. It is up to you to choose what format you would prefer. Let me know! We look forward to it.

The book is called Demonic Attractions and it's out with several agents at the moment. We're planning a family trip to Ireland for next year and I can't wait. It sounds like a place I would love.

Your book sounds like a lot of fun. These days there is a lot of crossover between YA and adult so that could help your sales. Many teenagers love a good amount of gore. An interview sounds like fun!

I didn't like the TrueBlood series. I watched it for about a month and it's too far off the book series for me.

I'll head over to your website and subscribe. Hope all continues to go well with your book. Are you working on another?
