A Cause for Sociability

Today I am inspired by North Carolina Governor, Bev Purdue, who decided to get out of the political fight so that she could focus on the fight for education in our public schools.Today I am linking up with Create With Joy for Inspire Me Monday. This post has nothing to do with politics but I thought it was appropriate to repost now, as we enter the dog fight of the political season.  …See More

The Peanut Gallery, the Crickets and the Choir

"Can't we all get along?""I've fallen and I can't get up.""Where's the beef?""Can you hear my now?" These are phrases that are so played out. If I hear someone use any of them, it makes me question with the new phrase,"Really?"Anyway that has nothing to do with the rest of my post. Yes, really. You'll get my title in a swift read... …See More

I am not a cookie monster...

On New Year’s Day I cooked a big Farmer Brown breakfast for six adults and one child. Then I proceeded to cook dinner. I ended the day with a super-sized plate of rice & gravy, red potatoes, carrots, green beans, a turkey leg and cornbread, promising to control my portions tomorrow. No, I don’t cook the traditional stuff. Happy New Year!!

How fitting is it that this is my 100th blog post? Yep, that's it. Even though I have had a blog for a year and a half, that's my number. But Here's the thing is a sporadic publication remember?I am so competitive. Even if it is just against me and myself. I always want to win. It was October 30th when I had 42 posts to write to…See More

About Me:
I am a writer who was often living on writer’s block without a cause to move out from obstructions. My blog became an outlet for my sometimes comedic, occasionally cynical, frequently reminiscent and mostly sarcastic sentiments about nothing in particular. My blog journey has inspired me and given me the fortitude to move out and away from writer's block. This journey began and continues with one sporadic publication at a time. When speaking of what your dreams are about and what they can become:  Always keep some pots on the stove. Sometimes they will be boiling over, and sometimes there will only be one simmering. If you always have something cooking, you will always have something to feed off of. ~Kenya Gallion Johnson

Hi there, welcome to Book Blogs!

I’m new myself to the site but so far I've found it a great place to meet other blogger friends, so you’ve definitely come to the right place if you want to network with other book lovers and writers. If you’re a fan of paranormal fiction, please give my debut novel Perpetual Night a look. I’m planning to do a giveaway in the near future GoodReads (Click here for my Author Page). And here’s the link to my blog Diary of a Writer in Progress where I talk about my own experiences becoming a published author and review some books for fellow writers. I'll be happy to follow your blog if you follow mine!

Now tell me about you, your blog, and favorite books!

Gina
