Thank you, Kitty, for offering to host me on your GMTA blog today.  My novel, Child of Mine, is about an infertile midwife, a strong, independent, knows-what-she-wants kind of woman.  She has always directed her life, from deciding at a young age that she wanted to become a midwife, to attending the…See More

Guest Post with Author of "LARP: The Battle for Verona" Justin Calderone

LARP: The Battle for Verona is the story of four friends thrown into an unbelievable situation. A medieval terrorist army, from Mongolia, invades their tiny island community, and decides to colonize it. The local medieval LARP group (Live Action Role Play. People who do battle reenactments) decide to handle the situation themselves, and proceed to fight off the invaders. The main characters have everything against them; they’re seen as geeky outcasts by their community, they’ve never swung a…See More

Guest Post With Author of "Hiding Gladys" Lee Mims

Are great writers born, or are they created?Long, long ago when I was a little girl, my mother would read to me as some of you may know from reading my bio. I’ve always believed it was she who taught me to love books and the escape they can bring. But, maybe my brain cells were just configured in a way that made me receptive to her stories. Maybe another child would have been wiggling and squirming, bored to death at having to listen. Think about it, did Isak Dinesen, the character Meryl Streep…See More

A Writer's Eye View of SequelsOnly twice have I wanted to throw a novel across the room. Both times I was reading the first book in a series, and the ending came to an abrupt, screeching halt. I first realized that I am a lesbian when I was studying in seminary to become a Presbyterian minister. I quickly learned that, if I came out and chose to live my life honestly and openly, I would not be allowed to be ordained as a minister. I had to leave a career that I loved simply because of my sexual orientation. From…See More

Guest Post with Author, Andy Gavin "Untimed"

How you came up with the idea for the book and how you created your characters.Typically, Untimed began from a fusion of ideas. Lingering in my mind for over twenty years was a time travel story about people from the future who fell “downtime” to relive exciting moments in history (until things go wrong). I worked out a time travel…See More

My junior year at boarding school included German, Greek history, and for English we read Milton’s Paradise Lost and had to write a 500 word essay every weekday.  Like everybody I wrote it longhand in pencil on lined paper. Well, I’ve always wanted to be a fiction/fantasy writer for as long as I can remember. About Me:
GMTA is a small publisher publishing through Amazon, Createspace, and Barnes & Noble.

Benefits for publishing with GMTA are free internet promotion, free day promotion through use of the Kindle Direct Select plan, giveaways, blog tours and various internet social marketing techniques. GMTA has worked hard for authors over the past year and a half helping them get more notice on the web and so far we have had overwhelming success. By offering publishing and publishing services we intend to become more a part of that success.

Contracts with us include free internet promotion, production of cover art, creation of blogs, like pages or other social media to help the author gain the attention of the online community and guidance to other avenues of promotions that could further help the author with their works. GMTA does offer help contacting bookstores, and other venues to set up signings and will send a copy of any books published through GMTA to Barnes & Noble through the small publishers program. We also contact Publisher's Weekly with review requests. We have a staff of proofreaders, beta readers, and editors working with GMTA that charge reasonable fees for their services. However, these fees are the responsibility of the author. Though we screen manuscripts submitted to us, no editing will be done unless a contract is accepted and signed.

Our editors work directly with our authors and cover artists to provide the best service possible. We do ask if the author provides artwork for their covers that it be royalty free and from a reputable site, otherwise any artwork used for covers will be provided by GMTA. Cover design and artwork is free for any author published with GMTA, however we do charge modest fees for coverart not created for GMTA authors and more information about that can be found on this site. The only fees GMTA charges authors is $35.00 for the publication of print copies, this fee goes toward paying for the ISBN and Expanded Distribution of the published work.

Contracts for each individual book published with GMTA will be signed and locked in for a full year from the date of acceptance. These contracts are exclusive in the United States though the author can seek publication for the works in other countries if deemed necessary to reach a certain audience. For more information about GMTA Publishing & Services or if you have any questions feel free to contact Kitty Bullard, greatmindsthinkaloud@gmail.com or by using the contact form on the contact page. Please be sure and read our submission guidelines in full before submitting your manuscript to GMTA.

Greetings from London

I am new to the family and excited to be here.  Found your site really interesting

When you get a moment you may want to take a look at my book. I would love to know what you think

all the best

Kismet, Fate, Call It What You Like

By Sara Solomon

Darius, the resident Persian cat, narrates the lives of five households in this exclusive, private close somewhere in the English countryside. You will meet folk from all different walks of life, from American, Turkish, Jewish, Muslim, rich to poor, the lucky, the unlucky.

The stories, some funny, some sad, will unveil people from all over the world with the same fears and aspirations. Doesn’t matter what language you speak, how big your stamp collection, people are people. Wherever in the world you live, a tear is a tear, a headache is a headache and a smile is a smile. Life is the same all over. So every person holding this book is already in it.

Can none of us escape what’s meant to be? As Darius might say, “Take me for instance. My life could have been very different. I could have ended up being owned by a raving alcoholic, eating smelly scraps out of a plastic bowl. Only I didn’t. I am fed on the best tuna money can buy, served in a silver bowl engraved with my name. So what’s all that about then? As my mother says, ‘Kismet, fate, call it what you like’.”

Paperback ISBN: 9781780352282

Available at:

Coming to Amazon and Waterstones soon....

Hello and Welcome! I'm kind of new myself - still figuring things out, but so far it seems like everyone is pretty friendly and willing to help/give suggestions if you get stuck, which is a very good thing since this place can be kind of overwhelming! If there's anything I can help with let me know...

And if you have a second, please stop by my blog - www.Jill-Elizabeth.com - I'm always happy to get comments and/or new followers!  I also have a fabulous giveaway going on - you can win a copy of an amazing memoir - What About the Boy? - about a father's refusal to give up hope for his disabled son.  Check it out through 11/8 at http://blog.jill-elizabeth.com/2011/10/25/book-review-and-giveaway-what-about-the-boy-by-stephen-gallup/.

Again, welcome and good luck here!
