About Me:
I am a book reviewer for Tiger Tales Books, the Children Literature Comprehensive Database in which my reviews will be posted at the CLDC, Barnes & Nobles Books and Book Pleasures. I have featured articles and book reviews at The National Writing For Children Center (NWFCC) in which I was a contributing editor. I am a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI).

Not expecting my writing to come so far in only a year, I now focus my attentions on book reviewing, blogging and helping parents get their kids reading. My informative sites are:

The Neophyte Writer (http://kristibernard.wordpress.com) – a writers journey, writing tips and author interviews.

Kristi's Book Nook (http://kristisbooknook.blogspot.com) – book reviews, amazon specials, author promotions, and book giveaways.

Celebrate Black History Month - The Brown Bookshelf

To celebrate children’s authors and illustrators of color, during the twenty-eight days of Black History Month we’ll profile a different artist. Vanguard artists are those who have paved the way for newer authors and illustrators, all others are considered “under the radar.”You may be surprised to see an author you know defined as “under the radar,” but until authors of color receive…See More

Hi Kristi, my name is Larry Rodness and I am inquiring about receiving a review on my newest YA novel entitled, "Perverse", published by Itoh Press in both print and electronic formats. Synopsis as follows:

19 year old Emylene Stipe is a 2nd generation Goth who, like every teenage girl, is trying to find her place in the world. One night she comes upon an old painting in an antique store and is compelled to purchase it. When she brings it home an image of a young woman appears in the sketch and then magically materializes in her apartment. Emylene nick-names her 'Poinsettia' and they soon become fast friends. But Poinsettia has an ulterior motive for her sudden and strange intrusion into her host's life which causes Emylene to question her whole belief system.
If there is interest I can forward an E Pub or PDF.

Thank-You for your friendship! Check out my new book. Alot of people wonder how I could have the courage to tell the world all that I have overcome. I only do so because  I believe that my book will somehow be an inspiration to you, and make you continue this journey a little happier being thankful for "everything" that happens in your life. May God continue to get all of the credit and glory out of my life story. Never be ashamed of your journey, and may God Always Bless! https://www.createspace.com/3694258 .
