- I am a forty-something woman living, working, and playing in Pennsylvania. I am recently married and have two children of my own and two step-children. And I also have a ten-year-old Pomeranian named Haylie. In addition to being wife and Mom, I also work full-time in the communications department for a nonprofit organization. As you can see my days are pretty full! So you may be wondering why in the world would I want to start a blog?
I love to read. And I want to write. My curiosity about indie authors and self-publishing led me here. I thought I would start a book blog about indies. I don’t know if I’ll be able to stick to just indies though. To start with, the first two I read were not very good. It was quite obvious that one of the books had not been professionally edited. Very painful to read! It’s also difficult to find out about indie books and when they are being published and where. So, I will certainly include indies on my blog, but I will also include small press publications as well.
So what exactly are my credentials as a reviewer? Well, I have a BA in English from Rutgers College, Rutgers University. I was a high school English teacher in a former life. I read a lot, and I write a bit. I’ve kept a book journal since 2009, so now I’m taking my thoughts and feelings public.
