The Witches Lottery by Krystal Mclaughlin

The Witches Lottery by Krystal Mclaughlin is one of the best reads of the year. If you want an addictive plot, fantastic characters and non-stop action, this book is for you. This has the kind of breakthrough story and plot progression to be an instant classic and belongs with books like the Harry Potter and Twighlight series (luckily this is the first in the series and there will be more!)It centers around Sophie and her little brother Drew, as they come to terms with losing their parents and…See More

Book Review: Instant Poetry (Just Add Words!) by "Laughing" Larry Berger

nstant Poetry (Just Add Words!) By Larry Berger is a collection of forty eight poems that were all written or performed by him way back in 1996. This is the third edition. Although the book is a quick read, poems can be read several times, I even tried reading them out loud. Overall the collection has a cheeky but solemn feel to it. Some poems like Green Tea Ice Cream and Exercising are tongue in cheek, satirical pieces that speak to the modern man and almost pat him on…

The Land of the not so free: The East

This is my first entry so I guess Id better fill you in on a few things before I start my rant. I'm Lee J Mavin, an Australian man living in China with my wife and one year old daugher. Living in Shanghai has its upsides and downs, so throughout my blogs I will explore these highs and lows and basically give me views (extremely bias) and experiences. Another thing that makes me a little more odd is that I work for a Japanese company in Shanghai. I am speaking Japanese everyday at work then I…

Hi Lee,

Thanks for the invite. Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. I think you are well poised to write books that link the East with the West, hopefully helping to enhance the mutual understanding. I don't see The Diary Of A 7th Grade Hybrid at amazon yet. Will continue to check for it. Best wishes.

Hi, Lee. Sorry it took me so long to respond. I somehow missed your message and just came across it here. That's great that you've written a children's book. I'd love to hear about it.
