Profile Information

About Me:
I am a Christ-follower, a wife, a mom, a teacher and a writer (in that order). I am a graduate of the University of Calgary, where I earned my Bachelor of Education degree in 1981, and I have spent the last thirty years teaching children in the private and public school settings, as well as volunteering in the children, youth and adult education ministries at my church. In 2007, I earned a Masters of Religious Education degree from the Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary, in Cochrane, AB. My debut novel, Shoot the Wounded , written for teens and young adults, was published in November 2009. I was thrilled to see that it was one of the Finalists in the 2010 Readers Favorite Book Awards! The second book in the “Wounded Trilogy“, Heal the Wounded was released on Oct. 18, 2010 and I am currently writing the last book in the trilogy, Love the Wounded, that I hope to publish in 2011!

My blog, “Journey Thoughts” is slightly quirky, sometimes off-beat, but hopefully inspirational to all my readers. I write about my daily journey walk with the Father. Sometimes I skip pleasantly alongside God, enjoying sweet conversation with Him, other times, I tend to run ahead, following my own direction. That’s when I become weary and discouraged. I write about that, too. Other times, I lag behind him and that’s when I need encouragement from the faithful to push me forward. However, my walk with the Father is always a great adventure and I hope my readers will join me on the journey!

I also write book reviews, host interviews with best selling Christian authors such as Francine Rivers and Suzanne Woods Fisher. I try to update my blog 1 – 2 times a week, but you’re welcome to join me anytime and please subscribe to my blog! You can also connect with me on Twitter, ShoutLife, Facebook and on my website:
