fishing for a good book...here it is

This book is a winner in every sense of the word.  The message of true friendship, peer pressure and being non.-judgmental is a very timely one.  The illustrations are big, bold, detailed, expressive and cartoonish, capturing the imagination of anyone reading the book.  They flow perfectly with the text inviting you visually into the well told tale.    Fang is a gigantic, toothy shark whose best friend is a teeny, tiny minnow named Nugget.  They adore each other and spend quality time hanging…See More

pinky up....

There is an average of five words a page in this incredibly beautiful illustrated book.  Each page is like looking into a painting and finding all the glorious details brushed onto the canvas and the words etched like a signature across the masterpiece.  The perspective of the dinosaur is huge, won't even fit on a page, so that in itself is a fun factor for kids to absorb.  The images contrast with the words. Humour, wit and laughter are sprinkled throughout the story making it very…

Hi Marilyn, my name is Larry Rodness and I am inquiring about receiving a review on my newest YA novel entitled, "Perverse", published by Itoh Press in both print and electronic formats. Synopsis as follows:

19 year old Emylene Stipe is a 2nd generation Goth who, like every teenage girl, is trying to find her place in the world. One night she comes upon an old painting in an antique store and is compelled to purchase it. When she brings it home an image of a young woman appears in the sketch and then magically materializes in her apartment. Emylene nick-names her 'Poinsettia' and they soon become fast friends. But Poinsettia has an ulterior motive for her sudden and strange intrusion into her host's life which causes Emylene to question her whole belief system.
If there is interest I can forward an E Pub or PDF.

Dear reader, as you know, I'm honored to call Noey Pico a friend. She is a jewel so priceless, nothing short of the Hope Diamond comes close to her beauty. She's a writer, both of fiction and lyrics. She sings, too. The world is a little worse off without her voice in it. This is why I am tireless in sharing with anyone willing to listen to what she can do. For this week's Music Wednesday, may I present Coffee and Nonsense by Noelle Pico.
