- About Me:
- My pseudonym is Mick Jett . I'm the author of the historical novel "Knowing Daniel", the novella-length true-crime story "My Friend the Felon" and several short stories which have been published in magazines and newspapers. I'm a veteran journalist who writes both true and fictional stories.
Most of my professional experience was gained at The Miami Herald, where I worked under the name of Floyd Jett as copy desk chief, assistant news editor, national news editor, feature writer and page designer.
My front page design for the Herald won the Arnold Cup .
One of my stories was used by Tropic Magazine as a model for its readers' writing contest.
While at The Herald I moonlighted as a correspondent for the British news agency Reuters and my stories were published globally.
I also contributed to the New York Times Names in Bold column and compiled the weekly Miami best-seller list for that paper.
I was recruited by the Herald during a nationwide talent hunt while working as an editor and writer for The Tennessean in Nashville.
I was a sports columnist, cub reporter and eventually copydesk chief for the Montgomery Adverstiser in Alabama before being recruited by the Tennessean. I live in Tallahassee, FL. where I wite novels at night.

It is the most advanced 'buy now' widget for selling books. I make it free for authors and publishers, worldwide, to quickly and easily create and use our EZBuyButton widget to place on their website or blog to immediately increase the sales of their books, especially if their books are listed for sale in more than one retail store. I made it super easy, with just a few clicks they just copy & paste a piece of code onto their website/blog, and they're done.
The widget allows website visitors to select which device they'd like to use to read the author's book, and then select their preferred retail store that they'd like to purchase the book from. It also geolocates the visitor's location and will send the visitor to the correct country specific retail store so that they can buy the author's book. The widget is also fully customizable, and the author will have access to detailed real-time statistics of the use of their widget.
