Jurassic Park

The story of Jurassic Park was made famous by the Hollywood movie, and many people are unaware that it was first a book written by Michael Crighton. I read this book a few years ago and I enjoyed it tremendously. I find science and biology very interesting. My dad and I like to watch the science channel together and we bond over having discussion about things related to science.Science is a huge facet of Jurassic Park and I think that is why I enjoyed it so much. Hot Zone

One word.

Ebola.

Before this book I had never even heard of the Ebola virus and even while I was reading it I thought,"This can't be real". The effects of the Ebola virus on the human body sound like something from a horror movie. The disease is disturbing and gruesome. It is even scarier to learn how easily it can be contracted. But don't let this deter you from reading this book. I am someone who loves science so this book was fascinating to me. The Hot Zone is a book that forms a…

Raskolnikov in Crime and Punishment

Raskolnikov, in Crime and Punishment is a classic Byronic hero. A Byronic hero has unique and specific characteristics. Some of the major elements of this are intelligence, arrogance, distaste for social institutions, and suffers from a crime he committed. All of these are characteristics of Raskolnikov and the Byronic hero.

The term Byronic hero originates from the Romantic poet Lord Byron. He portrayed mankind as brooding with suffering in their hearts. The first Byronic hero emerged in… Continue

The Awakening

The Awakening was a very controversial novel when it was first written in 1899. After, finishing the novel I can now understand why. Kate Chopin writes about realities that were frowned upon in society back then and just not talked about. However, in modern times society has a different opinion of the book. The book is praised for being a powerful feminist novel. This was not the opinion of the book when it was published and there are multiple instances in the book that could explain… Continue

Hi Natalie, my name is Larry Rodness and I am inquiring about receiving a review on my newest YA novel entitled, "Perverse", published by Itoh Press in both print and electronic formats. Synopsis as follows:

19 year old Emylene Stipe is a 2nd generation Goth who, like every teenage girl, is trying to find her place in the world. One night she comes upon an old painting in an antique store and is compelled to purchase it. When she brings it home an image of a young woman appears in the sketch and then magically materializes in her apartment. Emylene nick-names her 'Poinsettia' and they soon become fast friends. But Poinsettia has an ulterior motive for her sudden and strange intrusion into her host's life which causes Emylene to question her whole belief system.
If there is interest I can forward an E Pub or PDF.

Hello,
I came across your website, and I thought you would be the perfect person to contact.
My name is Jay Siva, the founder of EZBuyButton.com, an easy 'buy book' widget for authors. I'm contacting you today because I think you and your readers would love to know about the EZBuyButton widget I've created.
It is the most advanced 'buy now' widget for selling books. I make it free for authors and publishers, worldwide, to quickly and easily create and use our EZBuyButton widget to place on their website or blog to immediately increase the sales of their books, especially if their books are listed for sale in more than one retail store. I made it super easy, with just a few clicks they just copy & paste a piece of code onto their website/blog, and they're done.
The widget allows website visitors to select which device they'd like to use to read the author's book, and then select their preferred retail store that they'd like to purchase the book from. It also geolocates the visitor's location and will send the visitor to the correct country specific retail store so that they can buy the author's book. The widget is also fully customizable, and the author will have access to detailed real-time statistics of the use of their widget.
I would like to invite you to visit my website, and try out the EZBuyButton widget. I hope you find that my widget will be useful to you and your readers, including all the authors, literary agents, and publishers you're in contact with.
My website is http://www.ezbuybutton.com.
If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them for you. Thank you for your time.
kindest regards,
Jay Siva

Hi!

Welcome to Book Blogs! I'm Kate, a young adult author. My debut novel Taste has just been released by Crescent Moon Press last April 30, 2012.

At Barinkoff Academy, there's only one rule: no students on campus after curfew. Phoenix McKay soon finds out why when she is left behind at sunset. A group calling themselves night students threaten to taste her flesh until she is saved by a mysterious, alluring boy. With his pale skin, dark eyes, and mesmerizing voice, Demitri is both irresistible and impenetrable. He warns her to stay away from his dangerous world of flesh eaters. Unfortunately, the gorgeous and playful Luka has other plans.

When Phoenix is caught between her physical and her emotional attraction, she becomes the keeper of a deadly secret that will rock the foundations of an ancient civilization living beneath Barinkoff Academy. Phoenix doesn’t realize until it is too late that the closer she gets to both Demitri and Luka the more she is plunging them all into a centuries old feud.
