Do you think there are readers who post reviews for books they did not finish? Like, they just did not like it, so they didn't read the entire book and then just posted a negative review on that…Continue

Like for Like is Useless, Link for Link is Priceless

In Google's eyes at least, follow for follow and like for like carry almost no weight. However, every site that links back to your page lends your site more weight, thats SEO. Blogrolls that link back to your page and vice versa, are what the Google bots pay attention to. Each blog that links to yours becomes part of a web that will push you up in page ranking on Google and increase your traffic. So, let's do it! If you think my website (a show of…See More

Warning! Authors Please Read This: Reviewers as Online Booksellers?

I have an incident to discuss:Recently I've had royalty reporting issues. I'm wondering how Amazon can sell one of my paperbacks (new and lower priced) and I don't get any royalty for it. It's the only paperback copy I've sold through Amazon to date, yet I don't see a dime for that copy from all of the hard work of writing it. I've contacted the distributor with the location information from the book. I got this information because my aunt purchased the book. My distributor told me that all…See More

Finding an Editor

Hello, Fellow Authors,I just wanted to share some news with you about a young person who just started a grammar only editing service, for those of us who need such service. She's fast and affordable, unlike most editors. She's just tired of seeing all of the new books out there that have such poor grammar. I used her services recently and suggested she start a blog, so if you're interested her blog is emmaleighechoediting.…See More

Silly mistakes

I'm sure we've all made silly mistakes at some point, it sort of goes with the territory. I only found out how to spell Loyd Grossman's name by accident, and I almost published a paperback with my Kindle edition manuscript! Hopefully bloggers will share their own silly mistakes so that we can all enjoy and avoid them.See More

Serious About Finding a Publisher?

Hello,This discussion is for those who are serious about finding a publisher.Okay, so you've written that first novel. Now what? Here's two things every first time author should know:One thing for sure that you need to do before you send that novel out is find a good grammar editor to help you fix it! Publishers won't read too far into your book, even if you hook them in the first paragraph, if you have so many mistakes that they can't get the message! I know, editing is expensive... but how…See More

New Authors, Take Heed!

Hi, Everyone!I just wanted to warn new authors of the importance, especially if you are self publishing, of finding an editor! The wolves among the reading sheep are very negative about books with poor grammar! Books that have so many grammar mistakes in them in the first chapter won't get read all the way through and many reputable reviewers won't review them.I can't edit my own work, so I found a young lady who's a perfectionist with editing grammar for fiction. She's wonderful! And doesn't…See More

Worth the Effort

Wow! I sure am glad I took a trip out to the cemetery to check it out while I am still working on Hog Island Love. The cemetery is nothing like I envisioned! Plus, I guess to actually see it, I will have to contact the Sheriffs Department in that area so I can get in to look around. What a great adventure! I can't wait to go there and see what I can find. At least I know what to change in the story now. I love adventures!!!

Hi, I came across your blog, and I thought you would be the perfect person to contact.

My name is Jay Siva, the founder of EZBuyButton.com, an easy 'buy book' widget for authors. I'm contacting you today because I think you and your readers would love to know about the EZBuyButton widget I've created.

It is the most advanced 'buy now' widget for selling books. I make it free for authors and publishers, worldwide, to quickly and easily create and use our EZBuyButton widget to place on their website or blog to immediately increase the sales of their books, especially if their books are listed for sale in more than one retail store. I made it super easy, with just a few clicks they just copy & paste a piece of code onto their website/blog, and they're done.

The widget allows website visitors to select which device they'd like to use to read the author's book, and then select their preferred retail store that they'd like to purchase the book from. It also geolocates the visitor's location and will send the visitor to the correct country specific retail store so that they can buy the author's book. The widget is also fully customizable, and the author will have access to detailed real-time statistics of the use of their widget.

I would like to invite you to visit my website, and try out the EZBuyButton widget. I hope you find that my widget will be useful to you and your readers, including all the authors, literary agents, and publishers you're in contact with.

My website is http://www.ezbuybutton.com.

If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them for you. Thank you for your time.

kindest regards,

Jay Siva

HEy Ms. Shriver. Indeed my company does do hardcover in color.  Here is a little story Ms. Shriver, one day I was on lulu.com printing a few books, I became sadden by the amount they were charging. I said to myself, "Self, this is just to much money!"  So I got on the internet. Looked for companies in America and out of America, do you follow me?  I sent 200 + emails to all these printers asking for a quote with the dimensions of my book.  There are better deals, but there is a BEST deal for you.  I found the Best deal for me.  Ms. Shriver my advice is, "if you want it, its out there. TRUST ME!!
