Thanks for the comment Rachel. My biggest difficulty with The Road (besides the lack of punctuation) was, as a horror writer, I kept waiting for the details (and really wanting to know) of how everything went down to bring the world to this state. It took me a little while to realize that, much as I wanted to know, that's not what the book was about.
