- Hi,
I am a 49 year old female finishing up the last stages of healing from my teen rapes. The healing process has been long and unspoken. I am speaking up now because I believe I understand and can help.
One in three girls and one in eight boys are sexually assaulted before they turn 18 years old. I know how long and painful the recovery is and prevention is available.
I would like to open the insight and take away the shame to solve the problems. We can help the children, but we have to understand how it happens and the aftereffect.
I have created a blog to share and open things up.
I am trained in screenwriting from UCLA. In stand up comedy in LA and San Francisco. And have studied story and given writer feedback for a decade.
I am trying to raise an new awareness level on this ugly subject children often face alone.
I believe in being proactive rather than reactive. And I will need help.

i always tell friends that the big difference we have in africa vs the advanced world of the west and other parts is openness.you are so courageous to come up and say what you mentioned.rape is a shame,but should it be kept by chest forever?what about if one dare to say some thing about it?is only from opening the can of worms then there will come the cure.keep it up and we are with you.
