Sample Chapters

One of the best tools I have seen writers use to bring in readers is to offer sample chapters. Amazon has had that available on certain books for several years now. Couple that with some decent reviews and bingo, a numbers jump. This group is for those authors who wish to provide a sample to do so. You will find some of mine here, enjoy. If you do read a chapter, please comment. The one thing all writers need is feedback.See More

Survived the crash and am still writing

This is in another place but it really belongs here. It's been a while. My harddrive crashed and you know the rest. New drive is in and all the catchup is now going on. I'm about 1/3 of the way through writing the fith in my epic fantasy series, The Witch of Angbar. Smaple chapters are up on the fogcityfiles Wordpress blog. My third fantasy/mystery set in SF is also coming along. I've decided to add some of the cast members of A Midsummer Nights Dream into the narrative. I'm interested in…See More

About Me:
Almost 10 years ago now (has it really been that long?) I caught the bug and began working on a fantasy series that eventually took nearly a million words to complete the story. I shopped it around to nearly every agent in the book, literally, Eventually a small publisher in Queensland Australia, Writers Exchange, took a chance and published the first volume, Birthright. A few months later it was listed on Fictionwise as the number 1 fantasy bestseller on that site. It stayed there for 6 weeks. Three more volumes followed with comparable results and the attendant reviews.

However, the dreams of worldwide fame, movie offers and my mountaintop retreat never materialized. My agent fell off the face of the earth and the necessity of actually having a real job continue to dog me.

Book Blogs is by far one of the best sites I've come across on the internet. Especially as a writer trying to promote your work and learn about new books, connect with other writers, what better place then someone else's blog. I write two Blogs - The Choice of Giving and Illusions. Don't hesitate to email me, my contact information is on both blogs—right at the top.
