And your English is fantastic!
I have very vague memories of her, and I did not appreciate who she was until I saw the movie Frida and there is a child about to burn her hands on the stove and the Mom shouts RUTH! In that movie the one that plays Frida's Mom is my cousin, Patricia Reyes spindola, and in that movie she looks and acts exactly like my Tia Rosi, I thought I was seeing a ghost! The funny thing is my clearest memory of Ruth Rivera is a wedding gift she sent one of my sisters and it was a square crystal vase, that I thought was beautiful.
I am one of the youngest of 8 and I was never too involved in Mexican society. I was 12 when we moved to D.C. and I am the only one who never went back to live in Mexico as an adult, some did for just a few years, I lived in France and Sweden and then came cback to the States. I feel so extraordinarilly foreign in Mexico.
I know... you know when I was alittle girl the only Ruth in my life was a contemporary and friend of my Dad's (he's 92 today) her name was Ruth Rivera and her Dad was Diego Rivera. Did so much in those 18 years I even became a MOM and today my life is full of teen drama! :)
Muchas Gracias :) I did a lot more than that in my 18 years it was not my full time. Thanks for reading The Bridge of Deaths and thanks for the review.
