I am currently taking a Science Fiction class and I want to write my final paper on Neil Gaiman. My teacher told me that the best way to do this because Gaiman is considered to be more of a fantasy writer than Sci-fi would be to find another Sci-fi book to compare to one of Gaiman's books. The novel that I want to focus on is American Gods or Anansi Boys if anyone knows of a truly Science Fiction book that is comparable to either of these books please let me know, I need to have a proposal for…See More
I have read a few of Gaiman's books and am slowly making my way through all of them. It's a bit hard right now because I am back in school so it is taking a little longer than I first thought it would. Anyway so far I have not been disappointed by any of them. My favorite has been Stardust and I was wondering if anyone has read a copy of the illustrated version with Charles Vess as the artist and what you thought of it. I was also wondering if anyone as been able to find a hardcover copy for…See More
I am looking for a fairly accurate and interesting biography about Beethoven. I have tried google and amazon searches and haven't really found anything that I am able to get from the library I work at or even from Mel (Michigan E-Library). Anything that I did find wasn't at a library, so if anyone has heard I would love to hear from you. I also understand that because he lived so long ago chances of getting something 100% accurate are slim but I don't want something that is totally off the wall…See More

Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."

The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.
Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.
The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.
In this stunning psychological thriller, innocence gives way to evil, and trust lies forgotten in a web of deceit, fear, and murder.
