Minter, who accidentally arrived in Bangkok City in 2002, takes a close look at six years of living in Bangkok City. This ‘Raw Novice Tourist’ develops into an ‘Important Automotive Professional’ with the then ‘Biggest Automotive Company’ in the world located on the ‘Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate.’ The Detroit of the East.
Towards the end of 2008 ‘Bail out or Bust’ dominated world headline news with, the first name on many peoples lips being, ‘Universal Motors.’ Across the other side of the world the UM (Thailand) operation limped along, costing the UM Group millions of dollars as, ‘Sex,’ ‘Drugs’ and the erotic, exotic and intoxicating Bangkok City Red Zone night life gripped the operation and became a major factor in bringing the operation to its knees.
