The White Queen (SPOILER ALERT!)

We read The White Queen, 'The Cousins' War' by Philippa Gregory for our book club.First of all, I must admit I love this authors style of writing. Her depiction of England, the Monarchy, the courts and the wars are so vivid that one feels as if it is a memoir and not written hundreds of years later. One is truly transported to a different era while reading her books. The White Queen is a…See More

Three Sisters by Bi Feiyu

Rating 2.5/5Our book club had not read a Chinese Author yet. In fact for most of the members, this was the first Chinese author they had read. I am giving this background to establish why it may have not been a good choice for us.Three Sisters is the story of the Wang family which spans from 1971 to 1982, which according to me was…See More

The Temple Goers?

For our book club, we read The Temple Goers by Aatish Taseer and it was a unanimous call that this was 'the best looking book' with the most baseless story we have ever read. In fact, the term, 'Don't judge a book by it's cover',  was coined just for 'The Temple Goers'!The author did not put any effort into writing this novel. He picked up some facts of his life, threw it together with  some…See More

Hi there, welcome to Book Blogs!

I’m new myself to the site but so far I've found it a great place to meet other blogger friends, so you’ve definitely come to the right place if you want to network with other book lovers and writers. If you’re a fan of paranormal fiction, please give my debut novel Perpetual Night a look. I’m planning to do a giveaway in the near future GoodReads (Click here for my Author Page). And here’s the link to my blog Diary of a Writer in Progress where I talk about my own experiences becoming a published author and review some books for fellow writers. I'll be happy to follow your blog if you follow mine!

Now tell me about you, your blog, and favorite books!
