Cover Wars

As a recently self published author, I am trying to navigate the slippery slope that is designing the book covers.  I was a graphic designer for 5 years, and trained as a studio artist for 4 years before that.  Needless to say creating imagery is not foreign to me, and I find it a pleasing way to spend my time. So I have a tendency to conceptualize a cover in an obscure fashion that does not readily label one of my books as being of a certain genre.

I find that as a romance…

Thank you for your approval and friendship. I am very intrigued by your contributions and artistic abilities. I have a great respect for the subject  Romance or the failure of it as in my life. Feel free to check out my contribution and ambition my true life story, "Born In Betrayal" It just might give you some added inspiration for the appreciation of true Romance in this life. One bad apple don't destroy the whole bunch girl:) Tell us about it all sista. I for one need it!  I respect you. If you are looking for something to read that's real, raw and just downright mindboggling, but also so true to life, a little Gangsta, but yet suspenseful, have you on the edge of your seat??? Check out my new book. Ihave just completed my new autobiography, and I would like for the world to be able to check it out. I believe that it would change people's lives just by the sharing of these events, and my ultimate survival. For many years I sat alone and thought that my life was just a mistake or an unfortunate accident due to my circumstances, but then I heard the awesome voice of God in my heart and I decided to share it with the world. It would be an honor to have a person like you share in the experience. I give all of my thanks and glory to God for bringing me through such a trial, but as I said there is a reason for all of our tribulations on this earth, to be able to strengthen one another with our experiences and triumphs. The link to my book entitled "Born In Betrayal" is https://www.createspace.com/3694258 . Feel free to comment or share the link with your friends and family if you like. My ultimate dream is to have my book put to film. Pray for me.  Yours, Patricia Maxey "The Germantown Angel" God Bless!

Hello, Suenammi!

He is considered the most innovative of the Brazilian modernists. Besides having been a precursor of the Tropicália movement and of the "marginal poetry" of the 70s, de Andrade wrote three major manifestos: the Pau-Brasil Poetry Manifesto (1924), Pau Brasil (1925) and the Anthropophagic Manifesto (1928). He also introduced Brazilian literature to experimental prose with Memórias Sentimentais de João Miramar (1924).Visit me plase: http://nelsonsouzza.blogspot.com/2011/07/memorias-sentimentais-de-joao-miramar.html

Thank you for the welcome...what genre do you write? I review the old fashioned way--paperbacks! I haven't gotten into the ebook craze yet!

I enjoy reviewing romance, YA, and some paranormal, some mystery. I do not review science fiction, murder-based thrillers or erotica.

BTW...I'm following you...you can follow me too at...

If you fit into my review guidelines, I would love to do a review for you. Send me the link to your author page on amazon and I will check out what you have.

Hope to hear from you soon...Emily
