Happy to hear from everyone. Will write more later. I have to go to eye doc and it is hard to work on the computer right now. Hope it will be easier later. It is nice to be writing to other writers. I used to have a writers group in New Hampshire for fifteen years. It was called Uncommon Writers and we met for fifteen years. Lots of support and good work and friendship came out of that group. I miss it. I get lazy about writing all the time now. But my blog is so much fun. www.flyingintothesun.com More later.I have checked your blogs.
Shantaram is one of my favorite books as well. I look forward to checking out your memoir; I worked as a nail tech for a while, and salon work is full of interesting exchanges. I, too, wrote a memoir entitled Musical Chairs. If you're interested, there's an excerpt on my page.
