Words of a Journey

What a concept! And what a long overdue book is "Words of a Journey" written by Seventeen-year old Kaitlyn Kashman, a book that can only be described as "one with the soul."In a way that only a seventeen year old can, Kaitlyn explores, discusses and asks questions that are as old as time but at the same time are new as the bud on a spring rose. She finds that some subjects are hard to discuss and for this reader at least, were hard to read, so raw they were in their honesty. For in her frank,…See More

The Krybosian Stairpath

Madison and her brother Mica hurry home, on the last day of school, eager to reach 241 Rock Quarry road and elated that they don't have to endure for three months teasing about the Terrence Mystery. 241 Rock Quarry road seems simple from the outside, even plain and boring but what lies within promises Madison, Mica and her best friend Onyx a fun filled summer of discovery and mystery. Grandpa and his pet gopher Digby live in this extra ordinary home deep underground quite nicely, as it fits the…See More

Easy Entertaining for Beginners

Now, I am not an award winning hostess nor chef by any stretch of the imagination, but with Paricia Mendez’ book at hand, I can now hold my head high when I need to take something for a pot luck, make the 4th of July entertaining or even create a Christmas season social which would make my mother, “the Queen of the Kitchen“, proud. With simple chapters, each devoted to an event in life such as “Romantic dinner for two“, “Girlfriends tea“, “Family Fiesta“, and two children’s themed Birthday…See More

A Wizard Sleeping on a Watermelon

This ABC book is like no other. Not only does it have fun phrases that rhyme and use the letter profiled in many different ways, but the illustrations are fantastic and clearly showcase the talents of not just the writer but of the illustrator Anita Miles as well. When I first opened this book, I was struck by the fun way the author has taken the English language and turned it into an ABC book, like none other I have seen previously. No “A is for apple” for author, Mary Pansini La Haye. No, her…See More

About Me:
I'm a professional photographer/writer/reporter and photojournalist. I enjoy writing about the subjects I photograph. I'm spontaneous when it comes to photography and take hundreds of pictures to get the perfect one which inspires me to write. I'm writing a book right now that is a bit like Erma Bombeck of the 21st century. I've been approached by several publishers but don't know how to pick a good one. Any advice or criticism is always appreciated!

Darkness and Light

Cristian West, an artist of great acclaim is puzzled as to why the image of an extraordinarily beautiful woman haunts his every hour. He is filled with her presence wherever he goes and whatever he does, and finally is compelled to try to put on canvas this beauty to put his mind at rest.

But simply capturing the alluring yet mysterious image of this woman isn’t enough. When he spies her at the gallery, he is determined to learn why this woman seems so distant yet such a part of his… Continue

Hi, Susan. I invite you to review some of the great short stories and novels featured on PatronQuo.com. Each story and book excerpt on the site comes with its own Match Bout Record Chart. All visitors to the site are randomly assigned a literary match bout to judge. So, please take the time to weigh in with a vote and then to review the two stories you judged. You can then post a link to your review on our Book Blogs group Online Fiction Writers' Death Matches. Overall, it's a great way to help out self-published and indie authors. Regards!

Hello Susan, thanks for commenting on my post. I did as you recommended and took a quick look at the type of writing you do. Before talking more about a possible review of the novel, have you read the synopsis on my page? I don't know if you are interested in the genre, not that the genre really has anything to do with the underlying themes flowing through the story...

On the surface, No Greater Sacrifice is an adventure/mystery/romance, but if you dig a little deeper, you'll find a story about faith and love. I purposely wrote it in a style that today's pop-culture might "hear" it better than if spoken from the pulpit. Check it out and let me know if you are still interested.
