My book is in several local Borders bookstores and has done well.  But I have contacted every one of the stores myself and pitched my novel. Is there a way to get in all of the Borders across the…Continue

About Me:
I live in Orange County, California, with my boyfriend of ten years. We have two dogs and live in a planned community. Recently, I published my first book, "Lifetimes Ago - A love story inspired from past life memories." It is a powerful story, augmented by the unique twist of hypnosis and regression in the discovery of the characters. It is historical fiction that takes place in 1934 in Rensselaer, Indiana, where Elsie Wilkins meets John McDonald-a man unlike any other.

Has anyone gone to a pitchfest?

iUniverse has one planned for July in Century City, California. It is $1499 to attend. I thought that was a lot of money. FYI A pitchfest is where you pitch your book in hopes of turning it into a movie.

Thoughts?...

Hi Susan -

Thanks for the friend invite. Best of luck with your book!
Check out this cool widget called "BookBuzzr"

http://www.bookbuzzr.com

It's a free "flip book" gizmo. You can load up to 100 pages of your book into it and post it on your website or MySpace or any site where the embed code will work. It's pretty cool because people can read a sampling of your book before buying it.

Not sure if it works on these pages. I paste the embed code for it below and see if it shows up.

Welcome to the Book Blogs community Susan! Your book sounds fascinating, past life memories sounds like a great premise, one to surely stand out! Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself, and my blog, The Book Buff: Book Reviews for Regular People. Check it out at http://www.thebookbuff.blogspot.com
