About Me:
I'm just an old gal living out here on the prairie land in Montana. Been a story teller most of my life, been writing for many years, true story novels and poetry. Love art, photography, music...passionate about all the arts, particularly film. Have my first memoir in Amazon for Kindle ebooks (Wherever The Wind Will Blow It) and currently, my memoir New Prairie Woman is an ongoing blog that features excerpts and snippets of first draft chapters, my poetry and photography that depict my life and journey to this wild and extremely complicated place. My husband, Kurt, tolerates the eccentric artist within me. He's a good egg.

Stinky...

It's a sad day when your two dogs get into a vicious fight with Pepe le Pew. Last night I let my yellow labs out for the last time before bed. While I was preparing my bed, I head a strange popping nose outside my window. Then, I smelled the stink that was all too familiar to me from living out in the country. Skunk...I ran to the door and called the dogs. They both came running but my girl couldn't see. She was foaming at the mouth,… Continue

You Light Up My Life

Hey Friends,

We've had a ton of rain out here on the prairie so I've been locked up in the house making lots of new friends online through Book Blogs, Good Reads, Facebook and Twitter. I've been to many different blogs and it's so nice to see so many people who are readers and writers. It's amazing to me how many talented people there are in our world. Truly mind…

Three Months of Warm Weather!

After a glorious weekend of working outdoors in warm sun with mild breezes, I came to realize that we have just come out of the longest winter I have ever experienced in my life. Eight full months of winter weather has left us shaky like little wimps, unable to do the smallest physical task without our muscles screaming, because we don't have any muscle left in our bodies! Well, I'm speaking for myself, of course, because Kurt has been working non stop trying to keep this boat afloat like…

Governor Schweitzer

Good Morning!

How's your weather out there? Today in Montana we have dreary over cast skies, a nip in the air with very cool temperatures. Last night it became down right cold with crazy high winds which ripped down three of my treasured wind chimes. Although the old man (Kurt) insisted on lighting the furnace I slept with the ceiling fan on! We're a crazy bunch out here!

This morning I listened to Governor Schweitzer on the news discussing our heavy snow pack…

Thanks for the friending, Susie!  I'd like to keep up with your observations about Montana and the prairie life.  I grew up in southern Minnesota where it's much flatter than up here - Katherine
