- Hi there! My name is Taylor and I am an avid reader and artist. My favorite genre stays mostly within the fantasy range, encompassing historical fantasy, dark fantasy, medieval fantasy, etc. I am new to this site (though I will probably not be by the time I update this in the future), so if you have book recommendations for me, I would love to hear them!
The book I am currently reading is a dark, sci-fi about this young, brazen character that is a pleasure to get to know! And I say get to know because when I read stories, I feel like I learn a bit from each character, just as I would an actually acquaintance.

One night she comes upon an old painting in an antique store and is compelled to purchase it. When she brings it home an image of a young woman appears in the sketch and then magically materializes in her apartment. Emylene nick-names her 'Poinsettia' and they soon become fast friends.
