The first thing I would do is check out the different groups. Deciding which ones to join is easy when you think about what you’re hoping to accomplish on this site. Since I’m an author who blogs on a regular basis, I joined the groups where I could post requests for bloggers to review my novel, ones where I could post relevant material about my book, ones where I could post links to my blog when I have new material I want everyone to read, and ones where I can connect with fellow authors, bloggers, or readers, so I can build my followers.  After that, I would check out the forums. They have a ton of information about every subject pertaining to the writing world.

Hi Valeri, yes The Bridge of deaths is available on Kindle for 7.99 . I am a writer and as such I used the site to meet bloggers and promote my work, I also use the site to interact with other writers and help each other out. I welcome new members (Ask the settings to let you know via e-mail) and that way make friends with the people as they arrive. I also made friends by joining groups and seeing who was in the same groups I joined. If you have a fan page on facebook you may want to join the Friday Karmic Liking chain led by Novel publicity and Emlyn Chand, that is one of the greatest resources here. There is also Great Minds think Alound and Kitty Bullard, which is another amazing resource. I am just getting my feet wet as it were with goodreads, and frankly I find Book Blogs easier to navigate...but I am enjoying getting to know goodreads.

I would say most helpful is to check out the current Forums. If you have questions for  the community you can post them there too. Its a great way to be a part of the ongoing dialog here :)
