Anything by Terry Pratchett, so far nd The Sweet Scent of Blood by Suzanne McLeod
aging, grandmother, I work in two schools, one as a library tech, one as an afterschool program coordinator. I have a mixed race background, but don't know much about either races (partly my fault, partly my parents'). I have four children and 2 grandchildren. I love to read and spend time with the grand kids. I spend a lot of time reading to my grandchildren, which sometimes cuts into my own reading time, but what's more important? me or my granchildren?
Sorry for relaying so late. Please join us at our blog. We focus more on YA, but you'll meet many teachers, librarians and parents who read brown at Color Online.
I can also give you a list of blogs that focus on multicultural literature. I'll put one together if you like.
I started our community library from my own collection and collecting cans. The non-profit where I volunteer had no funds to support the library. We have a great library today. Feel free to write me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Would love to talk about ways to diversify your library.
