"Daddy Goes On A Trip" Selling at Amazon.

“Daddy Goes On A Trip” ,my newest book, addresses pre-school children and their concerns about parents who travel or are deployed. I am looking for book blogs or authors who would be willing to review the book and post on their blog and Amazon. The file is a 4mb pdf. If interested email me at wbentrim@bentrim.info
Thanks!

I wrote this book because children today are often exposed to things that their parents never had to face. Military deployment was practically unknown for a generation. Two in… Continue

Who Knows In the Dark?

Who Knows In the Dark?

Sometimes deep in the night, I wake, I wonder, am I the child or the adult?
Am I the father, the son or the grandson?
Who am I?
What age lies upon my shoulders?
What responsibility blankets me?
What relationships entangle and caress me?
Do I answer to Billy, Bill, William, Dad, PopPop or husband?
In the dark, why can’t I tell who I am?
Is my life a dream?
Is my dream my life?
Is the wet spot on the bed the unrequited lust for life of the onset of puberty or the semi-senil… Continue

Internet Magic

The magic of the Internet. Joanna Weiss does a parenting column in the Boston Globe. She was doing an article on whining. Somehow googling whining found my book and she emailed me for an interview. We talked about an hour and she was delightful. The article was published on July 4th. I got two sentences but still I can't get a mention in our little local paper and I got mentioned in the Boston Globe. If that isn't Internet Magic, I don't know what it is. Here is the link if you are interested.

Early Endorsements for “A Circle of Souls”

Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."

Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of the Judge Judy Show: "The seminal work of this fine author kept me glued to my chair until the adventure was over and the mystery solved. A great read!"

Book Synopsis:

The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.

Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.

The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.
In this stunning psychological thriller, innocence gives way to evil, and trust lies forgotten in a web of deceit, fear, and murder.

Hi William,

My name is Chris Tusa, and I'm a writer from New Orleans. I am writing because my debut novel, Dirty Little Angels, is now available, and I was hoping you might be willing to mention it on your blog (or review it). If you're interested, I'd be glad to send you an e-book version of the book. Just let me know. I've included a summary of the novel below:

Dirty Little Angels
Set in the slums of New Orleans, among clusters of crack houses and abandoned buildings, Dirty Little Angels is the story of sixteen year old Hailey Trosclair. When the Trosclair family suffers a string of financial hardships and a miscarriage, Hailey finds herself looking to God to save her family. When her prayers go unanswered, Hailey puts her faith in Moses Watkins, a failed preacher and ex-con. Fascinated by Moses's lopsided view of religion, Hailey, and her brother Cyrus, begin spending time down at an abandoned bank that Moses plans to convert into a drive-through church. Gradually, though, Moses's twisted religious beliefs become increasingly more violent, and Hailey and Cyrus soon find themselves trapped in a world of danger and fear from which there may be no escape.

If you'd like to read the first chapter before you commit, feel free to visit my web site:

Thanks so much,
Chris

So many books, so little time. I have discovered that my patience is waning on book capture. Book capture is how many pages it takes to capture my attention. Since I retired I have upped my limit to 150 pages and if it hasn't captured me at that point off it goes to a swap site inventory. There are so many books that capture me within 10 pages that it just seems counterproductive to continue reading something that just isn't making the cut.
