Thank you, Willow, for your kind comment. I'm pleased you enjoyed the poem about my mother. She is, indeed, a remarkable woman who has never shied away from life's challenges - her mother, my grandmother, was the same kind of person. (I talk about her, too, in the book.) Your mother, too, must have been a very inspiring person to know. I think she and my mother would have got on famously! We can learn so much from having the opportunity to know such people, don't you think? And that's something I've tried to convey in my book.

Yes, Willow, you're right - my memoir in verse (a collection of poetic stories) has just come out. Did my 1st ever book signing on Saturday - I was a bit apprehensive, but it turned out in the end to be a successful and interesting event! It's all part of learning to be a writer, isn't it?
