About Me:
Hello! My real name is Xin He, but I'm known as Kanaria on Goodreads, and pretty much anywhere else. For a long time, I have been interested in only historical classics, but I recently expanded my book selection to include YA novels.
In my free time, I either draw or paint, practice Mellophone for marching band, practice French Horn, or play with my dog. Usually, though, I'm on my computer, looking for something interesting to read about (whether it be author attacks, or news articles.) Sigh, I live a boring life.

--
I like to critique on the following areas:

Grammar: If a book has grammar mistakes (punctuation, spelling, word choice/ repetition), the book will automatically lose one star, mainly because it will be too hard to read the book if it has glaring grammar errors.

Plot: I will also be critiquing the book on it's plot, or lack thereof.

Characters: Yes, when reading a book, the characters should be special, memorable, and relatable. If I find the main character highly annoying, I will most likely put the book down. I will let it slide if a supporting character is irking me.

Cover design: Ok, if a book has a bad cover, I won't be rating it down. But, I will mainly be using this part to talk about whether the book's beautiful/ ugly cover is well deserved.

Other points: If there is anything annoying me within the story (such as constant mentioning of a character's looks), I will mention it in the "Other points" section.

Conclusions: Basically, in this section, I will be talking about my overall feelings about the book, and reasons for it's star rating.

Hi, I wanted to greet you as I just joined the website.  I have recently published a FREE (donation based) eBook and I would be thrilled if you included a review on your site.  Here is a ditty about it:

The generous seas do roam vividly,

And sacred words spoken earnestly.

People suffer and people go to war,

I just hope these words will go afar.

On 26-4-2013 I published a FREE book,

Indeed a feat of altruism, no crook!

I suffer in silence in every moment.

I have no money to publish a stunt.

I was just hoping for word-of-mouth

And email propagation as loudmouth.

Book is at: http://bookbooster.com/newage.htm

I accept feedback just at: percarus@hotmail.com

Hi Xin, my name is Larry Rodness and I am inquiring about receiving a review on my newest YA novel entitled, "Perverse", published by Itoh Press in both print and electronic formats. Synopsis as follows:

19 year old Emylene Stipe is a 2nd generation Goth who, like every teenage girl, is trying to find her place in the world. One night she comes upon an old painting in an antique store and is compelled to purchase it. When she brings it home an image of a young woman appears in the sketch and then magically materializes in her apartment. Emylene nick-names her 'Poinsettia' and they soon become fast friends. But Poinsettia has an ulterior motive for her sudden and strange intrusion into her host's life which causes Emylene to question her whole belief system.
If there is interest I can forward an E Pub or PDF.

Hi, I came across your blog, and I thought you would be the perfect person to contact.

My name is Jay Siva, the founder of EZBuyButton.com, an easy 'buy book' widget for authors. I'm contacting you today because I think you and your readers would love to know about the EZBuyButton widget I've created.

It is the most advanced 'buy now' widget for selling books. I make it free for authors and publishers, worldwide, to quickly and easily create and use our EZBuyButton widget to place on their website or blog to immediately increase the sales of their books, especially if their books are listed for sale in more than one retail store. I made it super easy, with just a few clicks they just copy & paste a piece of code onto their website/blog, and they're done.

The widget allows website visitors to select which device they'd like to use to read the author's book, and then select their preferred retail store that they'd like to purchase the book from. It also geolocates the visitor's location and will send the visitor to the correct country specific retail store so that they can buy the author's book. The widget is also fully customizable, and the author will have access to detailed real-time statistics of the use of their widget.

I would like to invite you to visit my website, and try out the EZBuyButton widget. I hope you find that my widget will be useful to you and your readers, including all the authors, literary agents, and publishers you're in contact with.

My website is http://www.ezbuybutton.com.

If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them for you. Thank you for your time.

kindest regards,
Jay Siva

Hi, Xin!

Welcome to Book Blogs! I'm Kate, a young adult author. My debut novel Taste has just been released by Crescent Moon Press last April 30, 2012.

At Barinkoff Academy, there's only one rule: no students on campus after curfew. Phoenix McKay soon finds out why when she is left behind at sunset. A group calling themselves night students threaten to taste her flesh until she is saved by a mysterious, alluring boy. With his pale skin, dark eyes, and mesmerizing voice, Demitri is both irresistible and impenetrable. He warns her to stay away from his dangerous world of flesh eaters. Unfortunately, the gorgeous and playful Luka has other plans.

When Phoenix is caught between her physical and her emotional attraction, she becomes the keeper of a deadly secret that will rock the foundations of an ancient civilization living beneath Barinkoff Academy. Phoenix doesn’t realize until it is too late that the closer she gets to both Demitri and Luka the more she is plunging them all into a centuries old feud.

Grab your copy now at:

Amazon
Barnes & Noble

I hope you enjoy your stay here! Lots of great people and interesting topics. If there's anything you might need, please don't hesitate to leave a comment on my page.

Sincerely,

Kate
