I love reading but have become obsessed about true crime books since 2007. I occasionally read Jonathan Kellermann but otherwise only true crime books.When not reading,which is very rare, I enjoy taking care of my home.
You may not know me or my work but I am the author of six critically acclaimed, award winning novels and I have been nominated twice for the Pulitzer Prize in Fiction. On Jan 9th 2010 my debut novel SUGAR will celebrate it’s 10th anniversary and I hope you will buy a copy or to help commemorate this milestone. And yes, Kindle purchases count!
Praise for the novels of Bernice L. McFadden:
"Searing and expertly imagined." - Toni Morrison
“Bernice L. McFadden is a master storyteller.” Adriana Trigiana
"Vivid." - The New York Times
"Eloquent..." (McFadden) is a talent worth watching." - The Washington Post
Hi Yvette! I responded to your question on my blog about the Kindle... I think I was a bit winded about it though!;-) Anyway, the short answer is I am warming up to it, I think I will probably be buying more books this way in the future because it is cheaper (as compared to the new hardcover prices) and pretty convenient. I think the Kindle 2 is soooo much better than the Sony eReader- primarily because you can wirelessly download books from Amazon almost anywhere you can get cell phone reception. I'm not sure about wireless communications where you live though... I imagine it's just like anywhere else in the world. Here's the amazon link
And here's the link for the cover I think is much better than the one available from Amazon : buymedge.com/p_products.html . Just make sure it's for the Kindle 2
Apologies, I did see the note (and thank you for it), however I have been running about quite a bit in the last 10 days or so. I am not sure if you made it into the shop or not. Unfortunately we have a very small True crime section, but it is there.....it does exist. If you do manage to pop in please introduce yourself. We are also happy to try and assist with requests or redirect where we are unable to do so.
Hi Yvette. Thanks for the welcome message. I'm sure I will enjoy Book Blogs once I find my way around the site.
Look forward to meeting you again soon.
Thanks, Yvette. There is a site called Policepulse that might interest you, including a blog by Nancy Thorp about a society that addresses unsolved murders, and has solved quite a few of them;

Yes Yvette! Of course, please feel free to share any comments I make and thanks for adding my blog address to my "following" photo . Gosh, I wonder if I even know how to add that myself! :-) Have a great day! Suzanne
Hi Yvette!
Thanks for signing up to following my blog! I really look forward to following your blog too! Since starting my reading group I haven't read as many mysteries and true crime novels as I use to and reading your review of Ann Rules' book Smoke, Mirrors and Murders reminded me of what I've been missing! One of the guys at work just started reading and he didn't know what kind of books he would like, so he happened to pick up Night Stalker and just loved it! So I think he's a true crime convert! So, my goal is to pick up a few new books- I might give Kathryn Casey... Take care! Suzanne
