Where did I get this book? I got this as an Advanced Reader Copy from NetGalley.
This is what the book is about. Beth Venable has seen too much. Witness to a major mob hit, she's placed in protective custody until the trial. But after her third safe house is riddled with bullets, she goes off-grid to save herself. What the FBI can't do, her kin-folk will. The beautiful but forbidding Appalachian Mountains of Kentucky welcome Beth back, dirt roads and rustic shacks a world apart from L.A. But her homecoming—even her blissful reunion with strong, silent Ryal Walker—is made bittersweet by the fight she's brought to the clan's doorstep. Hidden in a remote cabin with the man she's always wanted, Beth begins to dream of a new life: her old one. But after so long, with such dangers stalking her…impossible. But love can distil life down to its essence: an elixir of pure hope, nerve—and the will to survive.
This is what I thought about it. OH my blooming word this is brilliant!!!!
It grabbed me from the first chapter and then dragged me on an adventure that was exciting and thrilling and beautiful all at…

Vicky of Books, Biscuits & Tea had this magnificent idea to see how many of our NetGalley ARC's we could read between now and December 31st.
Here are the rules:
❄ Netgalley Month runs until December 31
❄ Our aim is to read as many Netgalley books as we can in order to get ourselves through our TBR piles

The Man Within by Lora Leigh
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Blurb
He had protected her as a child, filled all her teenaged fantasies and stole her womanly heart, only to break it.
Now, fifteen months later, the news has released. The man she loves is one of the genetically altered Feline Breeds who have shocked the world with their presence. He's also her mate. The mark on her neck attests to that. The fire that rages in her heart and in her body further proves it. But he hadn't wanted her then. Does he really want her now?
Deceit and treachery born in the past, now haunt the present as Taber and Roni fight to make sense of their sudden bonding, the mating of heart, body and soul. Taber must battle the forces raging against his union with the woman he has claimed as the man and beast within begin to merge.
My Thoughts
I cant get enough of this series.
This is tense and frantic story that drags you along with it kicking and screaming, and boy is the ride worth it. The story is not and exciting and leave it on 2 cliff hangers, one leads to another instalment and the other to a plot point in another book.
My only complaint is that the paternity is not completely resolved, I know it will be in another book but, as I have said before, I am greedy.

The Blurb
Special Agents Ty Grady and Zane Garrett are back on the job, settled into a personal and professional relationship built on fierce protectiveness and blistering passion. Now they’re assigned to impersonate two members of an international smuggling ring—an out-and-proud married couple—on a Christmas cruise in the Caribbean. As their boss says, surely they’d rather kiss each other than be shot at, and he has no idea how right he is.
Portraying the wealthy criminals requires a particular change in attitude from Ty and Zane while dealing with the frustrating waiting game that is their assignment. As it begins to affect how they treat each other in private, they realize there’s more to being partners than watching each other’s backs, and when the case takes an unexpected turn and threatens Ty’s life, he and Zane will have to navigate seas of white lies and stormy secrets, including some of their own.
My Thoughts
This was a really insightful instalment of the Cut and Run series. We get to see these two emotionally stunted men showing more emotion and showing how they feel in a public forum.
It made a real change to see these two men being open with how they feel and I think it gave the series more longevity. The plot was complex with out being overly complicated and had enough intrigue to keep me guessing. The reveal was fast and furious and emotionally charged with the confession to get Zane to jump.
I will be reading book 4 next as I want to see how this new dynamic works for them.

Hi, I wanted to greet you as I just joined the website. I have recently published a FREE (donation based) eBook and I would be thrilled if you included a review on your site. Here is a ditty about it:
The generous seas do roam vividly,
And sacred words spoken earnestly.
People suffer and people go to war,
I just hope these words will go afar.
On 26-4-2013 I published a FREE book,
Indeed a feat of altruism, no crook!
I suffer in silence in every moment.
I have no money to publish a stunt.
I was just hoping for word-of-mouth
And email propagation as loudmouth.
Book is at: http://bookbooster.com/newage.htm
I accept feedback just at: percarus@hotmail.com
