About Me:: I love books. It is not a rational thing, it is totally obsessive, compulsive and all consuming kind of thing. I don't love all books equally. I hope my book shelves don't start tipping over once they find that out. I still have a soft spot for a good picture book. I read my fill of young adult literature when I was that age and when my children were that age. I like a book that bites back a bit, not brain candy. I don't have affection for sci-fi. I really like the novel, good old fiction-with a plot! I do enjoy biographies and autobiographies. I like the smell of books. The heft of a book. The satisfaction of closing the cover when you are finished. I don't get the same satisfaction from electronic media. Maybe I'm just old. I also like to write in my books and bend the corners (shocking I know). I am a rebel what can I say?
